  5. My bad! Misread the post. Thought it was 090! That is a saw!
  6. Little? Hardly! Nice? Not nice to start on a cold day! Noise? Plenty..... Power? Bucket loads... Vibration? Hmmm, maybe a litte - limit yourself to a few minutes per shift would be the official line I bet.... Smile Factor? off the scale! You can feel the percussion of the ignition through the air!
  7. Kev is no longer employed by Orange Plant. Jason views the forum on a regular basis and I take a more active approach. Other people within the two organisations keep a watching eye on to the toings and froings of ArbTalk too. I'm sorry that the OP had an initially awkward response and glad that it has been resolved happily. We all have to have some lines in the sand with warranty - and as previously said, quite often the components suppliers warranty can lead us and our partners into a loss making situation as they themselves say "Worn out through poor maintenance!" or plainly tell us it isn't covered.... There is a lot of talk on 2 year, 3 year, unlimited mileage etc warranty as a hook to sales at the mo, but, If I said "12 months and that's it officially, but if you have a problem after that then lets sit down and talk...." how would you feel? Re-assured or no....No cobblers about what is covered and what isn't, labour or parts only, lines in the sand etc, pay up front and claim retrospectively, local dealer issues etc - just plain old "Come, lets talk about a way forward with no bullshine." After all, most breakdowns are with the first few months and if there is a genuine fault through manufacture later on - a reputable source should man up to it.....not refer to a warranty agreement which says you must do this, buy spares from them etc....

    New Key

Convert it to push button or another type of ignition barrel. Look at the RS electrical catalogue or take her to the supplying dealer.
  9. You could try Chelmsford Grass Machinery, they are part of the Browns Kubota\GreenMech thing and have a hire fleet or ring Railscape and ask if they rent theirs out.
  10. A hens teeth! Blimey! Want that for no other reason other than man toy!
  11. I'd not be doing my job if I didn't say GREENMECH...... Several models to choose from from the fixed base ArbTrak150 (6x9) up to the SafeTrac 1928 (7.5x11) Matt Textor at T H White is the nearest with a depot at Timsbury. Matts mobile is 07733 306992.
  12. Alan at Slant Rigg in Bideford on Avon does the GreenMech stuff and also did a bit for the Arbtalk raffle. He addded the winners names o the front as his contribution. I had a couple of quality hoodies done by him for myself....very god to deal with a handles quite a range of stuff - a sample of which can be seen in his catalogue on his web site.

    Jokes???

What is the difference between roast beef and pea soup? Anyone can roast beef....
  16. A manufacturer wants his dealerships to do as much as he can to sell and support his range of machinery. If that dealer or importer starts to undermine him by selling something else in preference to the original item then it is natural to cease the flow of goods and place those with someone else. Redwood split away from the original importer, Wessex, some years ago and since they assembled their own machine, they have been focusing on their own brand, it would be natural for Jensen to be upset at the situation. I would think that there is an official "Trade Out" period where agreements and debts would have to be honoured and then whole goods, ie machinery, would flow through the new people. Parts supply may be under negotiation and could be removed from Redwood altogether. The last thing Jensen would like is for the users to get let down so they will make sure that genuine parts at genuine prices would be available from the new people. Machinery prices may go down, or up, but they will be still available through the new people. I am surprised this did not happen earlier to be honest. They new people will not connected, in any way, to Redwood I have been informed.
  17. Twas I! Handsome git aren't I!!! No Ian, fixed base with decent enough clearance. The 1928 SafeTrac will continue for good while yet as the ultimate one....
  18. Mascus, Agriaffaires and Plant trader are a couple on tinternet. Caveat Emptor.......
  19. Phone RT400, Kev is actually in Redditch! knows the area too....
  20. Those quick releases might work! Buy a pair, make your own skewer rod to length and try it! We are too busy to take on more development jobs tbh, even supposedly small ones. Come on the factory tour in April to see it in flow!
  21. I'll put it to the developers. But as the original is perfectly adequate with its three position chute, I doubt it would be worth doing the mods and the subsequent increase in costs/benefit.... Going from square to round isn't easily kept smooth and so on....
  22. Phone Joe Turner Equipment, they are bound to know some people. They are in the area at Kings Coughton and into flails etc.
