1. Trees a mess really and proves why formative pruning of young trees is essential! It's going to need constant attention if retained so again I would recommend the bracing and reducing if it's that's the case.
2. Leave the funk and the hole alone !! Draining it will just make perfect conditions for it to decay further and filling it won't help either, water makes the conditions unfavourable for decay fungi.. these are regarded as old practices that current research has proven just makes it worse! Also drilling and bolting ... would not recommend that either unless the tree was already splitting and I would be considering stainless as oak will eat steal. Tip reducing to lessen wind sail , upper cable bracing in the crown and being oak I would consider a non invasive brace if the tree was defective would be the normal routine maybe a heavy crown reduction if the defects where bad.
3. And that is why I would not trust him , he's a liar who let down his guard at Glastonbury and shown his true Marxist colours , last time I saw a speech like that it was on the history channel in Germany 1930's , I actually had to turn it off.
4. Nice set up mate , if your still spending money this would go nicely on the chipper and make loading and stacking the winch landing a breeze! https://www.kilworthmachinery.co.uk/product/farma-c5-1d-crane-with-new-3-point-linkage-frame-and-legs/
5. I worked for one of Edwards illegitimate sons who was all hushed up by the family but weird to think he could of been king as his hobby was getting smashed on scotch and getting in his tractor with a shotgun ,case of cigars and going ploughing ... queens cousin was staying there one day so no chainsaws before 10.. beautiful but neglected estate and very nice people to work for.
6. Mark I despair at the whole thing, the system is corrupt and always has been,I think people are waking up .. something is in the air good or bad changes are happening. Have you seen that documentary the killings of Tony Blair ?? worth a watch. I'm good mate, apart from just loosing a big salmon or sea trout on the Tyne in the dark!
7. I agree in every thing he says but to turn and drag greenfell in to a political argument that things would of been any different if Corbyn had won is mental illness.
8. Be careful what your buying and make sure it's the mk2. Be aware a lot of the cheaper ones will be dealers trying to move on there old stock mk1's... saying that I think the early mk1 had a bit more power!
9. Kretz infested beech fell. Was supposed to have done this tree last year as it was a boundary tree and not belonging to the house and the people in the house threatening to sue us if a spec of saw dust landed in there drive!! There tree surgeon had told them it was fine and there was nothing wrong with it, I saw his apparent report as well 😂.. a year later the guy in the house changed his mind and demanded it down immediately... I wonder if telling him to google kretzschmaria deusta player a part.
10. Exactly Richie , people are absolutely deluded if they think things will be better under labour. Personally think it's shameful if you have fallen for corbyns class war bollox, his whole manifesto was based on hatred of people who have gotten off there arses and worked towards something better. Labour for me self employed was a disaster 6k tax threshold !!
11. When I watched the vid all I could hear was screams of kill him ! kill him! Coming from the crowd ?
12. Interesting that the manual says use the throttle lock, my 395 and 88 start fine with out from warm. It's going to give any saw a benefit to warm up a bit on half throttle from cold but I find most saws benefit from a good rag on full throttle after just so they settle in, especially the auto tunes... with out fail my 540's 550s and 560's won't settle or pick up properly if they don't.... I never have the chain brake on though , some of my huskys actually refuse to cold start with them on.. my 550 is a pita if it's accidentally been knocked on.
13. Another thought ....the throttle lock is only about half throttle so any saw you have it's good to let it spin up for 5-10 seconds or so from a cold start on half throttle before giving it a good blap on full to rev out any gremlins.
14. Throttle lock disengages when the trigger is pressed... I don't know any one who starts a saw with a chain brake on from cold, warm maybe... Should not be using the throttle lock on a warm start unless it's a temperamental saw with issues that need sorting would be my thought.

sycamore

Pita to season if left in a large stack as the middle won't get air flow or cut in to dumpy bags even vented ones.... just goes mouldy ! Unless very well seasoned before processing .

560 woes

It goes well , do you need one?? Probably not I would of thought the port work would be enough... would be nice to run our two saws side by side and see if it makes much difference though .

Did he port it as well??
20. That's about 5 miles from where I used to live , there was raves monthly in that area usually at old ww2 air fields or chalk pits police always let them finish and just arrest every one leaving.
21. Never lost a button but had at least 3 zips go in a row , just took them back was how I reacted !!
22. Shane , I seriously doubt it's any one from this forum but I would be very careful from now on, these gangs of thieves will be on you if they have your phone number they probably have your home address just make sure no one is following you from you home address to your lock up/ yard what ever it is in the mornings as that's how I got last done over . Try and log there number as well despite thieves Changing them weekly it could help if thing go pete tong.
23. If you get to keep both pairs I would not complain! One of those legs is wrong ? Not bad idea though as I tear my right bottom leg to shreds with clipped up chainsaws on the harness. I've had a few lemons from pfanner my self as long as it was sorted I was not complaining they usually address and replace some times with an extra any faulty gear and would still say they are the best trousers on the market.
24. Cons deserve to loose... there campaign consisted entirely of slagging off every one else (like on here really ) with out really promoting any of there policies or connecting with people.
