Nice... 👍 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Lots of cheap non original parts for those saws on eBay. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. I think so, have had a couple of them mk 1-2 they are relatively waterproof but I think just make a easy to use and light weight jacket you can wear in summer or build up layers and still move at winter and will keep you dry. The Pfanner ones are ok but mine have never been well made and not waterproof. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Stein are not too bad for the price. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. I brought an old g wagon with road tyres that could go places my 90 with bf tyres would not , it didn't eat diffs gearboxes and engines either. If I had the money that would be my choice. I regret letting it go. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. Had mine since they came out and it still has not broken any thing??? I also dropped it 40ft when a tree motion gear loop pulled out and I had not clipped it on too the saw ring! And it just sat on the ground ticking over with its original tech lite bar bent .... We straightened that to finish the job and has been fine since surprisingly so no need to replace that either. If you yo yo it and canon ball saws around a tree it won't be for you. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. No I meant shafts , just rounds the ends off. Destroyed 4 hedges cutter gear boxes as well, and one blower set of bearings, on a whole Imo I think they are just should not be classed as professional products.. I had an 8 year old Hl 75 that outlasted two km 130's and its solid geared hedge cutter never needed replacing once. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. I doubt a 25cc 2 stroke unit could destroy as many tool shafts as a km130 can. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. 12 and 16 for me are the best combo for rerouting and shooting lines and getting a decent anchor.. I did say I had a 14oz bag for shooting with but realised it was a 12 after I posted.. The 16 is primarily just a routing bag and you can always slap a steel crab on the 12oz if you need the weight when its on the ground but I suppose not a problem if your using an SRT system although I still like a clear crown space for that as well, nothing more annoying than ivy and twigs in ascenders! 11. Ha ha one of my favourite films, I never got why Newman disassociated him self from it in later years as it's probably one of his best films.. He does some spar tail action in that as well. Books very good as well. Great second clip as well jomoco. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. My old 372 did the same after it was thrown/dropped from a height.. Spud made a brace that worked for a while. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    Bigger saw

Husky equivalent is the 372xp but you can buy a 365 cheaper and there's an easy mod with a dremal that basically makes it in to a 372. The 365 has to be the strato version though. I would look at the 576xp as well its a bit heavier but more power. Modern still equivalent is the 441 and 461. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. Removing wheels sounds a plan but also a pita ! I used to take the wheels off my chipper and put them in my attic if I went away... With two wheel clamps a head lock and ground anchor and countless other bits of security it was still taken on a work night though. Removing a wheel or wheels would of been a good idea! 15. Good saws just don't bowl them around the tree on the strop, they are not easily forgiving especially the rear vibe mount, mines still original from last August but I always swing it slow down the strop or clip it straight up on a carry tool with the gate removed. Saying that I clipped it in on the wrong part of my harness last week and it fell 40ft and was fine. The tech lite bars IMO are not that bad either. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Sirius , relatively inexpensive, low stretch and I have yet to brake it despite trying. Speak to nod at tree worker , he knows his ropes and when I described what I wanted out of a lowering rope this is what he recommended and it has not disappointed me in 5 years. I know quite a few people using it now and all give it the thumbs up. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Good pics , looks some interesting work simon. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Good to know any thing you should be looking out for buying one? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. A lot of trees dead in general I recon to water logged root systems. Ash has also been hammered by bud borers this year. Found these on all the late sick looking roadside ash trees I stopped and inspected, phytophera on the dead ones possibly brought on by water logged soil. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. Mine used to get mixed in with cow sheds dung and slurry on road side clamps then spread on the fields, .. Also put in gate ways to milking sheds to stop roads getting muddy and used on the farms tree planting or even used at music festivals they held to keep mud at bay on wet years.. Mind you I did give it to the farm and I doubt they would of paid for it but it beat renting a place and buying a tele handler to push it up and we got to burn raking ups and hedge clippings on there fire site in return as well. 21. What are people's thoughts on Renault tractors particularly the 610 ? Will be used to pull a botex 360 trailer and needs a third service for firewood processor. Thanks , mat. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. I did have a petzl swivel on my old tree motion bridge... Rarely used it for the reasons rich has already pointed out like it causes extremely bad rope hockling... Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
