  1. With 3 or more people depending on you being there on site I think it is ...and as for the complaint about form filling ...usually after a hard days graft and a belly full of saw dust it will be all we do once home from work , more planning apps more invoices quotes and forms on forms ... so the less time I spend in saw shops dealing with cretins who think I owe them some thing as they are an almighty stihl dealer the better. 2. Exactly tom , neither would I !! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Listen to Ian and Tom !! Most of us shop on line for convenience!!! it saves us hours off the day and my time is money and to be honest I don't have time to chat bollox get mugged off on prices and then wait two weeks for what I want only then to drive back wasting more fuel and time weeks later to pick it up.. Online all the way for me ,but I won't be buying any stihl gear any way after the performance of the gear I've brought in the last 5 years and the arrogance of there people I have dealt with to get it right. 4. Gone are the days where stihl dealers are driving Porsches with personal plates ... Looks like they have to really work for it now maybe that's why are Scottish friend is so resentful, but I'm not sure why he's putting it on here ??? As so far his only argument for keeping sales local was for an old guy with an fs50 so it looks like he can't even grasp his customers using arbtalks needs.. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Is it Aprils fools ? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Well it was a freebie after mine got stolen but was ok but was a big step backwards after using a well maintained and low hours tw150 ... I've used a lot worse!! If your serious about buying a chipper I would definitely consider putting the money on a deposit and paying off hire purchase. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. I used one the other day with a broken no stress worn out rollers and dodgey controls .... Better than no chipper!! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. You can work without it but you will have to stand by the chipper with a keen ear ready to hit the reverse or stop. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. Stops the engine revs from dropping so usually it will stop the feed rollers from feeding ,giving the engine a chance to pick up speed .... If it's not fitted it will pull in a piece of timber until the revs drop so low the engine stalls. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. Despite that the 560 is still a lot quicker and the 357 does not and can not deliver optimum cutting speed as it does not have auto tune, I have owned both and whilst the 357 was a great saw who ever was in the stand with the 560 would be atleast a row ahead after a few hours ... Martin has another vid where 3 357's two modded go up against my 560 and none are quicker. I'm not saying that a modded one is not quicker but it had to have some serious mods not just an exhaust and port job. Steve I will give you mikes number if you want a 560 to play against. 11. Can't see much if any between the two mate seriously if the 560 was dropped back to 325 and and 18 it would be identical I would of thought? I used a brand new 560 the other day on that set up and it was a lot faster than my tired old one. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. Really like that !! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Why was it coming down Tom? Big elm that. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. I would go ms 460 or 461 nice and light and plenty of power. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. I've never seen a ported 357 beat a 560 ??? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Personally I would give it to spud... I have destroyed the second saw I tryed to split it and caused a lot more damage ! The first one I did I had to take back for him to refit a bearing after I messed it up. I pretty sure he has some 357 crank cases hanging around as well as he always had the parts to keep mine going and he's a hell of a lot more reasonable and thorough than any saw shop I have used. 17. Totally agree ... previously a year to the day that I got turned over I was being followed by are travelling friends so I did a detour and hid behind a suger beat clamp and waved and took photos when they came back searching to follow us again... I reported this to the village bobby and he said he knew them and would tell them to leave it out. This year again I clocked them following us ,reported it in and got a crime number... Difference is village bobby retired in December... Two days later the yard was emptied.. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Steve If I have a quoted post alert come up it also tells me I have a pm alert at the same time although I have already read that pm?? And when I actually get a pm it's not coming up. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. Keep an eye out Arb talkers for being followed to and from your houses and yards. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  21. No offence Kevin but I'm inclined to agree with mark there... With out completely tearing it to shreds I can see 3 very wrong things in that picture that for the sake of 15 seconds would of put you well out of risk. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. That about sums it up Adam.. You were paying me 150 a day 8 years ago, I would not do subby work for less now ... No way. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Maybe his employer did not have insurance also... Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. I'm running stihl hp super and it's measured with the stihl sqeezzy bottles . ms150 did it badly until I drilled a larger exhaust hole ,then loads of liquid started coming out!! Guess the exhaust was so restrictive it can not escape and the gas turns to liquid before it has a chance to exit, the spark arrestor would cause the same.... I could be talking bollocks though but I never noticed it on my t540 that I did take the spark arrestor out of straight away. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. Take out the spark arrestor.... But all saws do that it's worse though when the exhaust flow can't escape like on yours because the arrestor is still in. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
