  1. No worries lol.. Show them the vid and as tom says it's still quieter than any of the other saws on site after the mod.
  2. That's the Lumberjacks I thought. Plenty of them in kielder..
  3. Not sure, I figure that saws need some back pressure so would not want to over do the mod. From running 200ts when the early ones used to frequently crack exhausts I thought they lost a lot of power with to much pressure escaping. If some one wants to try I would be interested to see the results. I was lucky there raab you never know who's hiding in the forest, had a helicopter hovering for a good 5 mins the other night over the house, must of been checking for rouge tree surgeons with toppers on the ground.
  4. Go for the 661 then if the 064 vibes gave you grief the 660 is pretty much the same saw.
  5. That looks awsome mate I'm impressed it only took one attempt !!
  6. Swarf should get blown straight out, you can hear it rattling if it's in there so obviously try not to tip the saw in a position it would go down the cylinder. Have done two like this now with no problems and great results 👍
  7. No mate just drilled it on there obviously shaking out swarf before starting!
  8. That's pretty big wood got to say I would be tempted with an 880 3120 in that size timber.
  9. Just a quick vid for any one who's not done it but thinking about a muffler mod. The saw is wearing a brand new un sharpened chain in both cuts but I think it goes a way to show how pick up and power is improved with a 9 mm drill and a few minutes turning the saw in to some thing more useable. 10. What it needs is a nipple ,dmm ring and strap on and it will get a million views And comments. I think some vids warrant there own threads. Missed the eucy one maybe I would of put that up as a eucy speed line on its own thread the beech one is ok maybe a job spec ,some video action shots of the cuts with accents descents go down well imo...
  11. Winging dog walkers accusing you of raping the land whilst trying to thin a stand .. The list goes on!!
  12. Totally agree tim ... Sorry but parasites. I once worked for a guy who was in the governments leading body apparently who had amongst other things in his garden a 300+ year old ash pollard that needed the crown stabilising as it was hollow full of hazard beams ect. Told him that it should really be done with a MEWP for best industry practice but he could not afford that apparently, so no bother for me it's this much with out a MEWP . At the end of the job he says yes very dangerous work you need a health and safety schedule it will cost this much , twice the amount of what I just charged him, walked away saying I already had one thanks. I've worked for firms were there had been a H&S officer and schedule in place it has made no difference at all to accidents in some cases I honestly believe it's made it worse as there is a paper trail to cover every ones arse but the guy doing the work who usually is not suited for the job as before all this paper trail was in place the foreman or owner would not of put that guy out and would of used a more experienced operator but just because they sent out a cheap lad with tickets who's signed the paper trail this is acceptable and it's not. I've seen the health and safety guys behave like hitlers stop sites and cause chaos for no reason than just because they can. I've seen them seriously injure them selfs as they are so lacking in common sense it's unreal. Sorry bud I will stick with my online templates and modify them to suit sites.
  13. Had a couple of pairs of progress and they are great trousers but have gone back to pfanners just find them a slightly better trouser. They seem to have sorted any issues with stitching and the zips still intact 10 months on.
  14. Ha ha thanks Steve , it should all be there mate I left the chain brake off the bolts are on the case and internals are in place also left the handle off for access but it's all in the box I even pressed in the handle bolts and a little note on the bit of card to show what's what ..I have every bit of confidence it's all there Your right eddy probably owe him a few treats !!
  15. There should be a genuine husky small end in the husky bag with them , for some reason there was one none genuine and one used i hopefully didn't put in there . Can't wait to see the results Steve 👍

    new helmet

The alveo is worth a look it's the lightest out of all the lids on the market I have had.... Owned the vertex ,edelrid ,protos and stein plasma and its between the protos and alveo that I would choose but with the the alveo you can put decent MSA ear muffs on.
  17. For TKO Mistakingly I put the bearings in with a package for spud but the cranks all there genuine and unused.
  18. If you had four 200ts it would be a miracle if they all worked as well. I used to bring in my own 200 so I would not get lumbered with a dog, should not of had too but there was always saws that never ran right, if lots of people are using them unfortunatly that is usually the case.
  19. Found a big difference in comfort using a 560 with a 15" over a borrowed 261 on a 16" so I'm after a new small saw .. I would go with a 13" interesting no ones using one! Found the 261 handled nice and can use all day but lacking a bit of power.
  20. Interested to hear what size bars people are running on what saws for felling and snedding and a comfy productive day in the woods. Dolmars stihls and huskys as I'm trying to narrow down what I want on one. Cheers
