  1. I think they are forced in Germany, I've also been told by a lad from the Bedfordshire amey depot they where not allowed to climb on any non CE marked gear so no making your own fishermans eye to eye Prussiks.
  2. Ha ha of course ! No seriously I've got to prove I'm not a total £&@@ now
  3. Yes you would not be able to ascend to well with the tending loop the wrong way , I had just unclipped it to get my phone for a pic and put it back on to get as much milking done as possible before helping clear up !
  4. It just milked again but I'm hoping that's it,I've only done about 5-6 large trees on it now and I keep thinking I've got it this time but it's definitely not as bad as what it was.
  5. I must be putting on a stone every evening!
  6. Reducing beech and crown cleaning pines on the akimbo today.
  7. They eradicated them as best they could hence why the Hindu Kush has no Hindus .. 20 million is a rough number also a the rest where pretty much used as slaves and such things as the males made in to eunuchs in an attempt to stop them breeding.
  8. it's yellow not sure of the diameter!
  9. The Stirling didn't milk ? Mines still milking.
  10. Glad you got it sorted and nice work on the lathe. They are good winches obviously hydraulic feed and remotes would not go amiss but they do what they say on the tin
  11. Sounds promising ben , need to get one of these different cams n springs. Was it releasing easier as well as tending ?
  12. Really like the velox it's an improvement over the original haas which was good anyway !

    Best 70cc saw

I prefer the 576 but that's just personal preference,It is a very smooth saw.
  14. Aye my modded 150 gets a good work out but would not use it on a dismantle.
  15. No mate. Different saw im told but I did do the retro fit ignition and fly wheel on the 201 and seemed not much different.
  16. Version two of the 540 has a rear stronger spring that was prone to breaking or bending if you dropped it on the strop hard or got the bar stuck in falling wood , if it went too far it virtually pulled the saw in half , can't say I had a major problem with it my self on the mk1 as I kept spare springs and replaced if it looked sketchy but had the mk2 spring retro fitted on my mk 1 well over a year back to trial it and it's been fine since also the mk2 I have also has a restrictor wire to stop it from pulling too far I don't know if that went on the production run though.. different soft ware as well on the auto tune I'm told. I've certainly not suffered it been broken in half and I've dropped it hard a few times! I like them but I'm not a die hard Stihl fan and was getting extremely annoyed with the carb reliability on the 200ts and bad anti vibes so was long awaiting the 540 as I felt the 201 was such a let down.
  17. I'd take the 540 any day of the week can't stand the 201, I've only used ours about 6 times but it's gutless and has no ability to chase cuts and last time I did use it the trigger handle snapped off!
  18. [ame] [/ame] if you bare the voice they make some very valid points about this argument and I definitely agree with them that George soros is behind the clintons the man who brought down the Bank of England in 92 and forced us to join the single market, if you scour the internet you will find his latest Russian schemes and why he is banned from there, this man betrayed his own people to the nazis in ww2 if you look deep you will see why the media do there best to discredit trump at every turn he is costing them billions and scuppering there plans for one giant global economy. I'll go and sit in the corner with my tin foil hat now.
  19. If money's no object yeah a crane , don't like rigging in general if there is nothing central to isolate a rigging spar that's not near my climbing anchor and away from targets.
  20. If it's in the condition it's in on the photo rig it out ,does not look dead at all?
  21. This ... after 23 years I'm still learning stuff and trying to improve every time I climb and that's probably why I still enjoy it. Keep critical and stay humble the bad climbers I've seen are usually the done it all know every thing King Kong types who when spectacularly mess up and blame it on there groundy ,gear or the weather, you seem to have made points your not happy about with your climbing address them and keep on learning. If you decide it's not for you and many do after a few years ,well at least you tried.
  22. What's the weather like in Taupo? I've only ever been this time of year and it was pretty warm.. problem I've found with pfanner boots in general is they are hot,I don't mind putting extra socks on if needs be and the main reason I switched to Andrews is they seem a lot cooler.. I used too dream of putting my feet in the fridge wearing zermatts in summer !
  23. What happened to them ? I've just thrown them away after two years as they stank and where too stiff with sweat and fancied some thing new! Used to get 6 months out of hiax.
