  1. If can afford it/get on the valuation one I will Think the valuation one may be of more use to people in areas with high clay content soils.

  5. When I was doing some training one of the trainees was doing the same thing. Would not like to be in their shoes when Mr Vat catches up
  6. no chance used rear handled for years when climbing because I could not justify a T. Teaches u how to position better etc but now im using T so much easier and IMO much safer. As Iain says, saws dont cause accidents, people do.
  7. Think what you will be using the silky for. Aggresive is OK, but if u want 'one for all' they will be sh1te for formative pruning.

    Only a small job to do Sat but will pay for 1/2 HS81. Plenty of people wanting me to do hedges so I know it will pay for its self PDQ. Just want to make the right choice

    Need one for a small job this weekend, aint got a decent one so thinking of investing in a new one so at least I will be OK for the rest of the year and needent turn jobs away! Thinking about a Stihl HS81 R. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks Richard.
  13. Got to agree with Lee (on the reasoning, not the work done ). Can’t tell too well from the pic. but looks like the growth form on the other Pop has been slightly affected by being next to the one felled. Therefore could there be knock on effects to the remaining trees from the change in environment? Agree with Steve, nice looking setup

  23. Keep it simple and dont use technical terms (general public wont know what the hell it means). Think of what it will sound like as a web name too, and is the donain name still available?

  25. Thats the way I was shown and works well for me considering the financial outlay :wave: Use it a lot when topping down to see where to get to before I can safely fell the rest.
