  1. You might guess we've been having a bit of a play these last few days! Mainly of Pip, but also starring Poppy and Abigail;
  2. Looking good Johnny. How much do you think it actually weighs now? If you cut the corners off the back of the box it will be less and you will get less drag over 80mph too:thumbup:
  3. I could do with some short ones, how much do you want for yours monkeybusiness? Also Mick, are yours short ones, if so how much you wanting?
  4. How things have turned out, I think Peckerwoo should become the official AT weather man:congrats:
  5. Tim, I do like that set up. I think Im gonna try:thumbup1:
  6. Not had that problem but more and more frequently its getting veeeerrrrrryyy slow to upload after I click on some threads. Doesnt happen on other parts of the net, just here on AT. Perhaps Steve can throw light on it?
  7. With a tank of fuel and nothing else, comes in at 2240kgs Johnny. Thats a recent check too with the extra scoop on the top. Will be about 900kgs payload after ladders, kit, saws and a couple of us. Yours any where near that Johnny?
  8. A thread based on mine with toolbox etc. There has been some mods since like a scoop on the roof to catch chips but you will get the general idea. Mozza and Rupe on here have done nice ones too but try a few searches, theres loads about this subject on here. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/large-equipment/11768-quick-cheap-ldv-chip-box.html Perhaps you could keep us up with progress as yours comes along too?
  9. Was gagging to see our old bud on the telly. Cant believe three folk started threads on it and never said where! Guess Im not enough of a telly geek:001_rolleyes:
  10. Its not called the BBC 1 show either, smart ass
  11. Not much of a hinge, doubt it was a pro job!
  12. Nice one Liam, as usual a pleasure to see your pics:thumbup1:
  13. Never bothered with mine, if it gets that cold my saws wont work, neither will I:lol: More seriously, I find damp and foggy conditions more hassle causing saws to cut out regularly.
  14. I would say 15-20% is "fine". 25% is the limit IMO. It will increase throughout winter though. Stuff that is 20% now may be 23% in february. Mine was 16% before the snow:sneaky2:
  15. Id buy that in mate and double my money next year with very little effort:thumbup1:
  16. Joy, sounds like a new customer i had a couple of months back. Asked for ash specifically, so as its the only wood we keep seperate i took him a bag. Three days later he rang up and said he wanted "chuky logs", these were much smaller than he had before and insisted mine "were over the top" and said "they've been hanging around a long time, almost starting to go rotten". Turns out he used to buy ash from a competitor as it was "the only wood he had that would burn" Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure the other guy sells wet, but this customer wouldnt have any of it, instead told me he wouldnt be using me again as my logs were "past it" One bad egg for me, but only one Ive had.
  17. Ask for a bulk price Steve:sneaky2:, might get nearer double your money then. Even if its stacked till next winter might be a very nice product by then:thumbup1:
  18. Nice one Steve:thumbup: Bet hes one of those "who has a mate who can get loads of pallets and stuff" and is running a bit low so thought he would ask someone "who does wood" Obviously got a taste of the real world:001_rolleyes:
  19. Cheers Pete, I'll let him know. Think he had two saws to set up, one was around 13,200 and the other well over 14,000. Could only find max torque at 9500.
  20. Most bizzar find for me was an 8" long 1/2" socket extension in the middle of an old apple tree. Mashed three chains trying to find out what it was:blushing:
