  1. So how did it go with DMM then Ben?
  2. Following a high number of enquiries about nets, I thought I ought to give an update. We do sell in nets, all are seasoned mixed hardwood below 20% moisture content. The nets are 48cm x 78cm and are currently £4.50 per net. If you order 20 nets they are at a discount price of £85, no VAT. Please get in touch if you require any, or any further information. Many thanks, Pete.
  3. Never know it might be what the customer asked for and they may be really happy with it:001_rolleyes:
  4. If it is then, there should be good money in it for you as the gorgeous firewood needed leaving on site. Shame really as I would of given a much more competitive price if I could of had that lovely stuff:001_rolleyes:
  5. Just had a rummage and found quite a big spread in Fletchers catalogue pages 26 & 27, but cant find it on the web site. Hopefully fletchers or another supplier can put us in the picture sometime:thumbup1:
  6. Funniest thing i have ever seen on live telly just happened. Excellent acting from Gillian
  7. Its been on the cards for a year or so Jim, but seems to be slow at coming out. Was hoping it was here by now. When i finished with my Butterfly I really liked the standard kolibri but can you believe, the leg cups were too tight on my trunks so ended up getting a Sequoia. Nice harness but not the butterfly or kolibri. Just somehow cant get used to it even after a year. The Sport is said to be like the standard Kolibri but lighter and with soft leg loops. If or when it comes out Id love to try it. Just hoping really.
  8. As title really, possibly any of the suppliers on here could give us a heads up? Cheers, Pete.
  9. I would go for flammulinia myself Nige. By any chance is the tree in North Ferriby, as I looked at a chestnut with funghi just like that the other day? It even had a shed like that behind:001_huh:
  10. A start here for ya fella; FIBC - 1 TONNE BULK / STORAGE BAGS 25 PIECES on eBay (end time 05-Dec-10 19:17:42 GMT) Ive used this seller and the bags are fine. Does some other sizes too.
  11. Im not sure they will advertise it as a specific cleaner, but i have found if you inject the spray with the nozzle into the sheath the amount of crud that comes out is amazing. I use it as a more regular maintenance and it does work, but its also worth doing a full "wash" in detergent and hot water perhaps every 6-12 months.
  12. Now we're getting somewhere:thumbup::lol:
  13. Yes Dave, all you say is correct and I dare say Andy could add to it, but my problem seems to be my customers are more "traditional" and like the "real log idea". I sometimes interprit that as being they like to have logs in the basket so it looks "cool" when they have visitors! Often I find around us people put in stoves as a fasion statement:sneaky2:
  14. Rob, its beause of the trousers!!! Get your self some and they will make you feel like you are in a war zone and that you are invincible to the enemy:lol:
  15. Hi Andy, I have been carrying a sample (from another supplier:sneaky2:) around with me in the truck all of this season and trying to promote them to customers when i deliver my logs. Has been in vein so far. I would be interested in supplying as i feel there is a place in the market for them, but at this point dont hold much hope for selling large numbers. Perhaps its not seen as the correct thing for a log supplier to be selling "bought in" briquettes, or perhaps the price is too much in comparison. Not sure:confused1: If you wish, send me some info and if they are more competative I may give them a go. Cheers, Pete.
  16. Just out of curiosity, what did he put on the LOLER record? Does it not have "requires maintenance" or "failed"?
  17. Not sure if I mentioned it, but, GT85:001_rolleyes:
  18. Perhaps for a seperate thread but graphite doesnt penetrate like the spray lubes. Out of these two lubes i would go for GT85. It evaporates quicker than WD40 and has PTFE in it, therefore leaving a lubricant that wont attract dust. If you havent tried it, you should. But none of the above will cure JAMMING gates or WEAK springs. Give them a ring fella and give them the name of the loler inspector. Might help.
  19. GT85 is better:thumbup: It doesnt cure jamming gates and weak springs though:sneaky2:
  20. They are tosh in my experience fella. Very weak springs Had a few myself, all are either high maintenance or thrown away. Wont waste my money on them again.
  21. Always fancied his lifestyle thats why i got some Bear Grylls trousers. Amazing piece of survival kit, totally changed my outdoor lifestyle. They even have waterproof pockets:thumbup:
  22. Nice one Tom. Having a Big Shot to use it on helps too:sneaky2:

Matty, i need a big OOOOPS there! Just reading it back i missed an important word I thought i had put in! Here it is reading how I meant it; Sorry about that, was rushing out when i typed it! Just to expand, my boots are getting easier to use and Im getting more used to them too but having said that, I wouldnt say they were uncomfortable out of the box. Quite the opposite in fact, but as for the treatment, Im sure it helps massively to soften the leather initially and must lengthen life too IMO
  24. Judge on here had one at one point, so perhaps they are available somewhere. Perhaps give him a PM if anyone wanted to buy one for their big shot.
