  1. Pmsl!!!
  2. BUMP! Anyone know if carrying a silky as opposed to a knife and a silky is acceptable under best practice?
  3. I get your point about the system currently in use. I prefered the old one with no determinate formula. The hard/soft lasndscape around root has always presented issues. A bowling green of a lawn (constantly rolled and cut therefore well compacted) surley would be as restrictive to root growth as a shallow metaled surface? I'm just trying to illustrate the inflexibility of the current system in my eyes. Anyone agree?
  4. 10 years at least, it was not enough then for the work and responsability we had. Until the public profile of the industry increases, wages like this are going to remain all too common. The level of skill and professionalism required has increased, so why not the pay scales?
  5. It does sound like kickback. I hope it was over fast for him. Sobering for all of us i'm sure
  6. funny comentary:). Mogs are wasted on most tree companies, I know a couple who don't even like to get them dirty!
  7. I'm sure it will serve you well. Much better than the old willans "nappy" I bet
  8. I agree with your point totally. The harsh reality of not being able to have cctv and personal security do stack the odds. Few thieves will go for well protected premises/posessions
  9. Do you work for a small or large outfit Rentachimp? Those wages remind me of a figure quoted by someone working for a massive national company.
  10. I'll disagree there. As consumers we pay for those thefts through inflated prices. I'd beg before I stole anything
  11. Sound like a bunch of ladies:)
  12. no problems
  13. Don't worry, I'm not at all offended. I don't think it's a bad thing that i dislike rascist comments:wave:
  14. Always try switching the engine on!
  15. nice hybrid. A little drilling of the exhaust, a re-tune and i bet it will kick ass
  16. Horrendous. My thoughts go out to those close to him
  17. I've had that quoted to me by several people. I does seem a little arbritary imo, it does not take into account canopy spread, species or site topography. Anyone know how and by who the formula was developed?
  18. How about a nice little ms170. Will fit nicely on your beergut I've no experience with the new saw, but trying to run a 260 with an 18in bar is folly. Imho it is too much for a 50cc saw
  19. Greenfly a problem? Just inhale and treat them as extra protein in your diet
  20. You tube has a few good examples of it's use. There is a video that is supplied with the unit by it's creator Greg Good that is very instructive
  21. Remember it's only one persons observation, but i would wait to see what the manufacturer have to say. There was a recall of certain ones and it might be one that was not returned. INHO it is a great krab, my personal favorite. It does teach us that observation and carefull kit maitenance are essential for our longevity
  22. Some interesting reading from treebuzz. http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=121952&an=0&page=0&gonew=1#UNREAD
  23. How did you find the geckos?
  24. I remember that from last year. You ask any of the local crane companies Ed?
  25. Bonnie has amazed me and the vet. She had a spinal stroke and has managed to recover over the weekend. Her left side is still a bit "lazy" but that should improve over time. At 14 1/2 she's a tough old bird for sure Thanks for your support and I'm still smiling so hard my face hurts
