  1. Now I am scared, can we ban users off a single thread?
  2. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIHBUGvAUMo&feature=related[/ame]
  3. Don't sweat Dean, save you eurovision selection, we hear it in our nightmares:scared: [ame] [/ame]
  4. I retained it carl. It's work in process as i'm going to cut away some of the now excess metal
  5. Nice Crispy and welcome
  6. Not the best pics. Hole is only 14mm which is conservative. Be VERY carefull not to drill too deep or you will bore through the back which is less than desirable. Remember to reset the carb to richen the high jet, you should gain torque not rpm. If in doubt don't do it yourself, alot of money in a climbing saw so don't kill it!
  7. You drill the hole 90deg to the body of the saw. Hard to explain but your trying to bypass all the twists and turns in the system. Will try and get some pics so gimmie 5 mins before you trash a muffler
  8. Get rid of those stubs on a dismantle. They can hurt real bad if you slip
  9. I hand my saw to a guy called "rev it" and he sorts it out. As much as I know
  10. Cool idea, bacon brie and cranberry please
  11. 80% is what I aim for with mine. Seems to work well
  12. http://www.chainsawperformance.com/showthread.php?t=1658 With regards to Carls link follow EHP's percentages, he's the main man with regards to modding saws
  13. I've done the same on a few occasions during my blonder moments. I now have to organise the signage by the truck. PITA but prevents silly mistakes for which you could be held liable if an incident occured
  14. which side of the road narrowed? Maybe someone else needs new glasses
  15. That's what I use. Very conveniant and eay storage. A few extra cones is no biggie
  16. Both 200t's both 260's, 440 and 460 all have had the exhausts opened up, i'm waiting to get the 660 done. Amazing difference imho. You have to richen the carbs up though as they will run very lean
  17. Found this reprobate working near me felling a storm damaged poplar. I tried to pursuade him to top the tree (even phoned Ed for support), but he wasnt having it! Nice work on a crappy tree By the looks of things you need to have your hands in you pockets to work for Dean (Pecontools)!!
  18. Always read the thread title when your lost in your own effluent:wave:
  19. looks like you made extra effort with that one bob. Too tidy for one of mine
  20. If you don't know what your doing they are an exellent starting point. Is that not there purpose? They do not teach exellance but basic competance
  21. No sense of humour being quoted here TM, it's the law of survival. Ben if you do that kind of work out of preference, as opposed to neccesity, with the knowledge of an arborist then you have a status much lower than a gypo! All said and done, too much has been said before and i'm not interested in revisiting it again so i'm bowing out of this thread
  22. Do some reading also, i.e. http://www.jonsered.com/frameset.aspx
  23. Dean,I could walk you around edgerton and point at at least 5 mature trees i've hacked contracting. It's the same old story, go under or cut the tree. choice is a fine thing
  24. I hate butchering trees, but as a contract climber it's often point and shoot. It can ruin my day, but think of the money and when working for yourself maintain the standards. Pay the bills, put food on the table and DO THE BEST YOU CAN
