    Nice Carl. Well i've got some catching up to do on this thread. First ones are from Harewood house, near Leeds. I was helping Craig (Judge) to do some nice delicate work on some spectacular trees. Great bunch of lads to work with, I enjoyed it for sure

    basic buissness- if you have a grinder then sell it's use, if not then try and avoid it. I do loose a percentage of jobs on the price of grinding, annoying but thats life

    I'll also disagree on the blade being the cause of the bearings collapsing. I've had to replace mine 3 times now (it has done 1800plus hours though) and i've always maintained sharp blades. It's just a design fault that has never been rectified imo. Any chipper at 6in capacity and weighing 750kg or less with a deisel engine has to compromise somewhere. Each manufacturer just seems to choose a different place to save the weight.

    Never had an issue with the velcro. I prefer it as the straps are wider and don't cut in the same as the leather ones

    You are incorrect there. Lowering is classed as lifting, i.e. a load is suspended therefore comes under LOLER. However rigging kit is checked at a lesser interval of 12months. It's the same old story imho that the companies that need there kit checking are the ones that never will
