Never had an issue with the velcro. I prefer it as the straps are wider and don't cut in the same as the leather ones

You are incorrect there. Lowering is classed as lifting, i.e. a load is suspended therefore comes under LOLER. However rigging kit is checked at a lesser interval of 12months. It's the same old story imho that the companies that need there kit checking are the ones that never will

Great idea Ed. Replace a good but at the moment defective saw with an orange piece of crap. Then instead of a short term problem he can have year after year to stare at it and wonder why he bought it
