  1. If the roots are suspect then not being in the tree is always an option. Just thinking out loud here and trying to think of a way of avoiding alot of awkward saw work
  2. Ever considered winching the tops off where applicable with as small a back cut as required to give a nice rip/fracture effect

  10. The strength is not an issue for me. I have broken 2 now, both caught by a rigging lines in awkward situations. If it had been a steel krab, i'd have been in real crap! To be honest there weakness is reasuring

  14. works well. I have taken the gate off mine to make the hooking/unhooking one handed

  21. The thing about personal experiences is we all form different opinions from them. This could be a good point to agree to disagree
  22. I have used several landforce machines. the earlier ones had elecrical issues, nothing major, just irritating. It's not the most refined machine, but they EAT wood, which speaks volumes. Agressive and easy to use. Favorite chipper? No. Value for money? Top of the pile.
