Cept this joke fails on two points.

(i) A bullock is a castrated male bovine!

(ii)The Old Bull will gore any young pretenders, rather than sharing or offering advice.

just saying  .  .  .

I thought a castrated male bovine was a Steer ?

Hawk, Spit, Steer!= bloody imported Yankee terminology, but yes, meaning the same thing as bullock.

P.S.

The one area of nomenclature the Yanks got right, as in better than the Brits, is car body parts, in general.

Muffler, not silencer, because it does not silence, only muffles.

Fender, not bumper, because it should be used to "fend off" rather than to bump into other objects.

etc

etc

Such issues concern me deeply.

A bullock is a younger male cow on top of a hill as far as I'm concerned..   and thats especially true when the said young bull is in a joke...

And its even more true when I can't think what a young bull is called officially off the top of my head late on at night.

Now, about this goring business, my bulls, young or old are especially friendly and even more so if the two of em are contemplating doing a herd of cows down a hill in five minutes...

Mick, the way my friend told it, it was much funnier than the joke in the vid..
