Dead right , theyre scum . I just happened to notice at a fairly large local market in the south east of Ireland some stuff that id say was originally belong to a tree surgeon or timber contractor and no doubt lifted at some point .

Stihl 044 double dogs

Stihl 029

Stihl 025

Climbing gear in a Large Makita Holdall .

All the stuff had seen action but you would know had been minded by a pro .

Maybe it was a coincidence and some guy getting out of the game sold it as a job lot , Have my doubts though ..

:thumbup1: That is all...

My Yard was broken into a few nights ago . Hey big deal it happens to everyone :sneaky2: . Well I keep nothing of value at our yard other than our splitter . This is welded to an old unroad worthy two ton trailer . Anyway the scum left two sets of old youngman ladders along with 2 wheel barrows strategically placed next to the main entrance ? Obviously unprofessional scum . They also made it look like the gate was locked . Fortunately for me my landlord had noticed my gate was slightly open and notified me . Thinking the gits would return for the booty me and one other bedded down at the yard for a night of hope :confused1: ........Oh and the lord did show me the light . Little Peugeot pulls up at 2am ish. One lad gets out then enters the yard all hell breaks loose . Get away driver disappears in a cloud of black diesel smoke . The numpty left behind ......... well considering the state of his face he must of fell over in all the confusion :lol::lol: Plod well they did laugh to . Its very dark at my yard . This is not a debate or discussion its a fact so any scum on the rob just think twice before robbing because my logs are Hardwood :001_tt2: Some others on hear would not of even called plod . So think on scum

I've just had a visit from some nice Irish chaps offering to do my roof whilst they had a good spy around. Needless to say the new kubota has been moved to another store along with anything else of value then he wanted to buy my Landy. Needless to say he was told to leave and never darken my doorstep again but it doesn't stop me feeling paranoid now

Land sharks are the answer, about twenty years ago a hapless bycrikey tried his luck here and was seen off by the dobermans I had at the time. One of them was strutting around the yard with a very large chunk of prized denim in his mouth.

If only I could but it's at our new house that I'm doing up at the moment. If only I could use my past knowledge from being EOD and lay a few booby traps 😱

I can accept that when you're a teen you can be a bit of a rascal and do stupid stuff. But if you're commiting crime after a certain age I think you should be jailed for life.

If I was the Prime Minister I would bring in life prison sentences for anyone over thirty that steals.

No need to do any of that, I believe criminals should be branded on their forehead with the crime so for the rest of their lives they can't get away from it. Let's see how many thieves or perverts commit crimes knowing that's the result

What about second chances for people who REALLY want to change?

Interestingly I've just had all my old jail tattoos removed by laser.

I changed.

I've got a mate out here who has a nursery/landscape business.

He had a lot of problems so he got a pair of German shepherds (a brother and sister from the same litter) as guard dogs.

He had a trainer come periodically to keep them up to scratch. These dogs were not pets and were never in the house, they just stayed at the yard.

He told me that in training when they would stage simulated break ins the (not so crafty) dog would run up to the gate/fence to bark at the intruder. The bitch however would back herself between crates, not out of fear, she actively wanted the intruder to get over the fence, in order to exact proper retribution.

I love dogs!
