Its time we waited for fact and less guess work

I will try to gather nore of the 'facts' Treequip and let tou know what transpires. i expect that things will be clarified over the coming days and it may be that I don't have the full story as yet or that I don't have a full understanding of the situation. My personal opinion is that the tree should stay but thats an unqualified opinion and I could be wrong.

For every report the council gets done there is a cost, so it's highly unlikely it will commission 3 reports on a tree at 300 quid a go! When you go to the dentist and they say you need a filling do you pay 3 times just to make sure ????

That didn't look like a £300 report !!! Specifically on that tree ,it may have been part of a survey on all the parish tree stock.

If the poster put up some more accurate pictures of the structure, health of tree we may be able to comment more accurately.

The fell and replant option is an easy one but doesn't always work ,we've all seen so many sick ,drought ridden vandalised young trees.

Thanks Matty

I've emailed the tree officer just now - lets hope they get on the case. My biggest concern is that the tree is felled before due process can take place. I just hope that there only at the quoting stage.

If they fell it without consent due to it being in a CA then they will be in trouble. Make the PC aware of this.

No consent in CA. the LA can make a TPO or allow the notified works to proceed

Verging on the pedantic there! Surely "allow the notified works to proceed" is consenting to them!
