Why is anyone complaining? Surely they all have beautiful trees like that right next to their house.:confused1:

Sorry but I hate the fact that others can force an issue on someone else when they don't have to deal with the consequences.

Think about it, it's highly immoral.

On a more serious note did the council stick notices up saying that they would be consulting on the removal of the tree? If they were shifting a footpath for example you would expect notices so anyone interested was alerted to the meeting. Not following due process perhaps?

As I said, a learning parish councillor, I do know though, we have powers charged to us, that we exercise. You would be best asking the clerk for a legal position. We are blessed with a very qualified clerk who takes none from any one, councillor, or parishioner, and advises us on our powers as he/she is charged / employed to do.

If you have no joy, consult the NALC, who are the national body for pc's, or your local branch.

Thank you for that again Mrs Eggs - I will ask the clerk for the legal position
