    I’ve used a few tracked MEWP Teupen about the best but more often than not we find we can get our 3.5 and 7.5 ton truck mounts in on roadway if necessary or reach over obstacles. faster set up times ,much more stable and more outreach so bigger drop zone.Truck mount wise Ruthmann are ahead of the game .

    Possibly not for much longer people might be looking to source all goods a little closer to home . MC wise I have 3 wood burners all working well on barn stored air dried the same as I supply with no issues . Its the crap that’s supplied at the garages that wet and rubbish.

    I think if you add in all the emissions involved in transportation from Lithuania you may well have a low MC but a significant green footprint. it seems crazy to me to transport firewood so far.

    I burn cedar regularly it burns hot and clean and dries quickly when split . no problems at all with flues I have 3 wood burners with no build up of residue. it also smells fantastic in the log basket.

    We have a 2 year old ZT and received a cutter wheel belt tensioner update kit which you can get fitted yourself or pay global to fit. It involves cutting and grinding to fit the tensioner but no welding we also received a new belt. we like you have carried on grinding when the belt was slipping to get done ,I think the most important thing is to engage the cutter wheel at low revs .

    Not at all ,we’ve had the hilux for 18 months now it was a demonstration unit built for Toyota and is the wide body chassis version.It had 400 miles on the clock. we had the sides extended and a part folding roof fitted as we deliver logs and mulch . it was £22500 +vat . i think the hilux is a great truck to drive ,very comfortable.

    We got an airbag suspension upgrade fitted by air ride near Reepham. works well and can adjust the airbags from an airline . This will allow us to uprate the GVW of the truck if we want to. The hilux looks happy loaded ! The truck rides much better loaded with the addition of the airbags . towing wise we are more than happy with the hilux as it will push / pull our Bandit 915 most places we wouldn’t put it with our 7-5 tonner.

    To be honest Norfolk is a pretty much saturated market with plenty of subbies and new apprentice entrants looking for work .

    It’s one that slipped through the net so to speak as the previous owners were not a threat to it . most of the area around it is a mixture of conservation area and TPO its the prime area in Norwich because of the Trees so I think they are well within their rights to have an opinion and try to save it

    Not the Walnuts complex behind Steve which has an area TPO on it they asked me for a report on the tree along with several other residents. That site has been managed sustainably for the past 20 years and we’ve planted 15 -20 new trees to create an uneven aged tree stock. i agree with you Steve about the owners rights but why buy a house with a big tree if you obviously don’t want it.Buy a house in a field or on an industrial estate. Were loosing too many big ones in my opinion.

    I’m not taking away from the fact that you did a professional job in getting the tree down but It is a shame the owner felt he had to or was advised to ring bark it to prevent Norwich City Council putting a TPO on it . It was a bit of a feature that tree on Branksome Close and carefully looked after by the previous owner of the house for many years with several different contractors pruning it in that time . New Owner =no tree and pissed off neighbours!

    I’ve got a 9month old peruzzo TB100 for sale it’s done 30 hours in as new condition with a spare set of blades . i bought this as a back up machine for smaller jobs instead of our bandit 915 but it’s not getting enough use . great little chipper and will track anywhere is very stable and will chip 3-4 inch diameter. Im looking £4400+vat.

    I’ve had a ZT for 18 months now had a Carlton 2010 previously,I’m very happy with the ZT and grinding depth is fine for me. the engine has plenty of power it tracks fast enough for me and maintenance etc is easy. Back up support from Global is great ,I have a bandit 915 chipper also and have had bandits for years .

    There are different levels of DBS checks Eggs, basic,enhanced and a check on the barring list . Im having to DBS check around 35 adults as part of a youth band tour to Malaysia. The Barring one is mainly to do with child protection. its up to the company organisation how they use the information employing you wise .

    Yep I own one excellent little machine ,chips well tracks well we use it in back gardens or areas where we can’t get our Bandit 915 in as it’s a bit big and heavy . we mainly find our customers are happy to keep the chip as it is good quality

    Exactly! With many new companies and housing authorities setting up looking for external work it’s a race to the bottom business wise as well at the moment. same day service even.

    I would call the Tree Officers Bluff ,leave the notification in ,he o r she has to justify putting a TPO on the cherry imo you have plenty of justification for removal which is the most sensible option as the Tree is compromised structurally and with its full crown something is going to give,probably the wall. A sensible pragmatic approach by the TO would have been sensible in this case.

    Great Place ,we surfed in Ucluelet in the summer ,visited port Renfrew and the big trees and saw those big trees in Cathedral Grove that your knocking the tops off . that was a very busy road car park in the summer . Beautiful part of the world.
