There's your Answer

How anyone climbs in C's when its hot is beyond me

I used to when younger and fitter, just used to get on with it and get the job done.

Did used to get incredibly dehydrated and go home with a throbbing headache every day though.

Never worn type a's but probably should really, think I've only had one "oops that was close" moment so c's are overkill really

Seen an injury caused from a kickback whilst snedding (undersweep) that ended up in the back of the guys leg, also inertia brake failure I would have thought.

Was that recently Andrew because I know of just that this Jan near me, a professional thinings contractor ended up in theatre having muscles re attached, be lucky to walk right again by the sound of it!

Type c for me unless it gets very hot like last summer then I swapped to type b for climbing work. Trousers aren't there for the 100's of shhh that was close they are there for the time something go's wrong and you find out the kevlar material works.

correct me but is it not madatary by law to have c,s for arial work and a,s for ground work. also how would your insurance stand up if it did happen and they found that the correct ppe was not worn.

as i say stand corrected if wrong

I think from previous threads about it, its comes down to this.

Its part of a safe working practice but u can climb in A's if its to hot etc. but then you have to be seen to explore all reasons why to choose A's, and its on the risk assessment. If some thing was to happen then you should be covered.

Ive always worn C's from the start. Sure i get hot etc but its worth it for the 'just incase' moment should it ever happen.
