So in and around my home town pretty much every ash of any size has been felled in the last month it's changed the outlook of some areas ,you don't realise how many ash there were till they're gone .I understand ash dieback is taking hold ,but this just seems drastic. I understand there's no stopping the infection, but it's quite saddening to see all these ash just disappear so soon

So saying a decent climber would get it down in day and charging 12 -1400 ,yes you would ,but the trees worth double that , and that price is just devaluing the industry we're all trying to make a living from

Surely if everyone had that train of thought ( better not replant because ganoderma was present in the vicinity ) then not many trees would get planted.

Yeah it certainly took some Time , I did have a bit of ago with a sanding disc on a drill, I then put the drill in a vice and screwed the bowl to the disc and sanded by hand with the bowl spinning, but they're the first to I've made so pretty pleased with the result.

No lathe, just a ms 150 using the tip of the bar and then sanded them and yes birch it is , amazed at the colour they ended after a good oiling

So I made these with a 150 and dug the centre's out and then a lot of sanding ,surprised by the colour they ended .any ideas what timber ? I know, I took it down

done a job recently ..he told us he had his door knocked and asked if he needed any gardening work done...yes he replied ...borrowed tools from his garage to do work ...they then told him his house had damp ...ohhhh..can you sort it .....yes ..but it'll be 6k for the machine required......ok I'll get you the money ...never to be seen again......and he's a solicitor

they'd be watching and listening to your every word and movement if wanted ...a bit to big brother for my liking and you've got to pay 40 £ for the pleasure ....can they contractually make you commit to this ??

I took down a sycamore that showed no signs of any rippling but internally was amazing rippling...or fiddle back as skyhuck said

years ago working employed for a firm I drove the mog for 3 yrs doing all domestic work ..i hated it ...short wheel base ..didnt hold a lot of chip nowhere to put your kit when full ...stating it up ..waiting for the air to build just for a quick chip up ...so happy when I got a truck and chipper again

had the cocoon pulley saver it got lost ....made one old split tale karabiner and pinto on a prussik cost peanuts compared to the 100 odd quid for the other
