i think the past week the forum has been quiet in the bickering/smart arse front, and its been great. ive noticed more informative and intresting discussions rather than debates, quality postings and more helpfull comments where a week ago there'd be a barrage of smart alec remarks :thumbup1:

VERY TRUE!! there have been some very good posts this week earlier in the week there was one about the wellingtonia vs giant redwood and then yesterday the post about new tractor wanted they both went on and on and came up with some very good answers from members.

keep it up i say !!!!!

Thats really not a concern for me and shouldn't be for anyone. I can't recall in 6 years anyone ever being pulled up for any good natured jokes or banter.....this isn't about that and shouldn't be confused with it

Good to know. If I didn't have this forum I'd be forced to converse with my girlfriend!

Is there any need for all this bollocks? It's a forum for god sake. We are all going to have different views. A zero tolerance sounds like a load of tosh to me.

Do you want to surround yourself with "yes men" Steve?

That's a pretty harsh statement(s) IMO.

It's a zero tolerance to bullying and stirring - it has nothing to do with whether you express your views - I have never felt that arbtalk does not allow you to express your views.

It is how you present your views and how you write them.

Fair play Rob. The bullying I don't like, the stirring I can live with. Harsh! You are probably right. Let's hope Steve and I can make it up over lunch.:laugh1:

If you say 1 thousand things to a thousand people, there will always be a few who take offence.

Many in the Arb world are not master wordsmiths with the industry being full of testosterone, dirt and big sweaty men on cizzer who will express themselves in a bawdy and lewd nature from time to time.

Aside from that, had I realised this is really a source of income for some-one, I may have tip-toed a little more cautiously myself.

I shall make a point of staying clear of anything remotely controversial in future and do as fine gentlemen should do whilst passing the port.

Not discuss, sex, salaries, religion or politics.

Stick to the world of trees and I think all shall pass well enough.

Why!? It would be a boring place if we didn't have sex, salaries, religion and politics. Arbtalk is the best forum on the internet......And the reason for this!......It's not all about the subject it was set up for. Loads of people from all walks of life having their say.

I would agree with that, for what it's worth!
