Yeah, putting the Mrs on does reduce insurance, when me and Karen split up I took her off it made no difference because the policy was mid term, when I renewed I put Nicki on because I use her address for my mail, I believe you do have to be living together to get a reduction. I do pay the 25% uplift on her council tax even though I'm only there 2-3 nights a week, by doing so I'm on the electrol roll, and if anything ever happened I've got 'proof' that I live there.

I always assumed transit/Iveco  vans that size were the 5.5t variants. On a truck that size he can only have a 500kg payload at 3.5t!

Cheshire HGV Cops @Cheshire_CVU  The driver has not long left our check site having waited for a more suitable vehicle. He weighed 3470 kg’s empty so if you need some helium filled ballooons transporting, we know just the firm.

Payload of 30kgs 9_9 :D

So...begs the question...how many more of these are cruising our roads? Methinks time for a crackdown...

Loads I expect. Also begs the question, who's building these setups... And, clearly the buyer has not done any checks / research into load capacity / suitability of vehicle.

Probably shouldn’t say it, but having walked the APF and talked to some suppliers of Arb trucks there it is well known that the builds they are supplying are at capacity before they even have a load and these are being supplied to large outfits. So essentially they are sending their guys out of the yard overloaded once a team and kit are on board.

We are looking at 7.5t vehicles at present they too have next to no payload, the dealers are all to happy to spec something unsuitable, even suggesting airbags or extra leaf springs so they don’t look overloaded.

Sometimes I wonder why bother to try and work within the spirit of the law...
