Not very professional tree work.

If the sub station is as close as it looks then it would be done for free by the distribution company and it's not really promoting good practice in a tree of that species and age now is it....

 

No need for a job like that . Poor tree.

You really think that the distribution co would have done a neat job ! Get to the real world

Yes they would but more importantly the surveyor would have left a tree that doesn't need cutting.

We as arborists should "worry" about all trees  and certainly not rip off customers cutting a mature oak for the sake of a couple of hundred quid. It's wrong

Hardly ripping them off - they wanted it doing again as it overhangs 3 gardens, a public alley and doesn’t overhang the substation. Very happy with the job, booked us in for another two days work and neighbours were good too. Standard job every 3-6 years depending on location
