If you catcha squirrel it is illegal to release, it must be kept or despatched humanely - ie with no suffering. If you remove a dey from a tree,. you have caught them and they become your responsibility!

 

Customers of mine were catching them and dropping cage into a waterbutt - she was reported by a neighbour and prosecuted! Can't remember the exact figures etc, but £500 comes to mind!

Surely a chipper is "humane," it's going to be pretty instant..

Anyone know the legalities of using Larsen traps for Magpies in the UK?

 

Are they completely legal?

Paul Freebury will have an answer for that. I didnt even know what a larson trap was until a few weeks ago, but then I'm a soft townie!
