another tip for the decoy bird compartment is to only put one perch in it, some people put two and they hop back and forth from perch to perch and go a bit crazy.

And if there is only one perch they don't tend poo in there feed bowl! if you place it at opposite end to the perch

A bit of an interjection but I would have thought that for any small mammal put into a chipper death would be instanteanous.

Some animal rights activist in North America, out Calafornia way? thought she had a chicken farmer bang to rights for cruelty as he ran his old fowl through a woodchipper to dispose of them.

I think he composted them with the droppings?

I appreciate laws in North America are different but it was ruled at court that it contravened no law/laws and was not cruel either.

Unusual perhaps but not cruel.

A handy tip for the larsen fellow who is targeting a pair. If you catch the cock of a pair, the hen will think about what has happened to her mate. She leaves the nest and goes to find the trap, and if the cock is in it, not much is going to make her go in and get caught. But... if she misses her mate, flies off the nest and finds the trap and a different crow in it, thats her ready to get the handbags out and give it a good biff in the chops.

There's more ways of working a trap than boiling an egg, but that seems to work at the moment!
