  8. i have used used beaver recently, good service. yes i reckon about a year even when greased for that annoying bit of wire, i carry a spare on the truck and should be about £30.

  10. main trunk is 7ft to first branch 14ft to second next fork 23ft total length 29ft. plus other lengths from the top it is sleaford side of lincoln

  14. Thanks, i cut a similar one for firewood few years ago and was then told i would have offered 1250 after i showed them a pic if i had not already been ringed it up.

  17. Hi, I have a reasonable sized elm to come down shortly, I have to decide what i am going o do with the wood. It is approx 5 by 5 and a half foot at 1m above ground, up to approx 9ft at the fork at about 17ft. The pics are crap, Mill (offers invited ) or firewood???
  18. i had same failure with exactly same brand of knives on similar model jensen. you probably find bearings ok. take flywheel to engineering workshop. i didnt bother with dynamic balancing just reassembled then spun it by hand marked where it stopped with chalk added weld to the highest points.

Yes the engine and bodywork look good as far as you can see but it would be nice to see the infeed shute and feed rollers, also condition of the flywheel will tell all and the wear on the belt pulleys. I have more faith in the government than the hours on that clock but that machine looked after should be good for 2000+ hrs anyway. could be a good machine at the right price
