I understand its site dependant but what's the going rate/bracket per metre for stock fencing (sheep netting + 2 x barb,) supply and install. Jobs about 2000m + .

West Devon area.

Pretty straight forward job, easy access.

Many thanks

Ideally £6+ with good quality materials in mid Wales but I know plenty much cheaper and that's easy for me to say when we don't do much.

That's way too cheap for here in Sussex. I'd want £8+ per m.

A mate just had a quote at 9.50 per m for a fairly straight forward fence.

That was for imported timber with a seemingly 40yr guarantee for rot.

Down to aroun 8 quid with normal posts.

I mind when I started it was around 4 quid for years and I used to do erect only for 1 quid a meter for my wind jobs.

Its got dear quick

Generally I’m around £6-7 quid all in- roughly half and half materials/labour that’s split Chestnut stakes. Creosote would be a bit more.

So variable though. If it’s loads of short runs with turns and corners it goes up rapidly!

Last one i did was 200 mtrs  and a bastard to access being right at the very top of a block of forestry in the middle of nowhere, all posts netting and barb taken up on quad, all done by hand and i quoted £8 mtr . this is about 3 years ago, today on good ground its got to be £8 mtr at least ,

Stihl auger may come in handy for the posts. Drill a 60mm hole and belt them in. 😉

How much stock fencing have you done?
