Even if there were twice that amount of logs left for the op, it doesn’t change the fact that it was probably over double the cost it should have been.

always get more than one quote and get recommendations

Well if a double negative infers the positive then a triple surely implied the negative again? :D

It’s something I’ve never acclimatised to in 13 years.

A couple of sangers, cup of tea, back to work in 25 minutes, then home in time for Neighbours.

Company policy.

Blooming immigrants, coming over and refusing to assimilate. ?

I wont even ask what a triple negative is.. you do realize you're on a arborist forum right?.

and anyone with a bit of common sense could tell what I was saying..

I think this is just classic miscommunication.

It would take a few loads of logs to offset £1k.

We’ve all agreed to the ‘We’ll keep the logs, cut to 10” long, and you chip the brush’ situation.

Then the customer comes roaring out when the first 2” piece goes through the chipper, and it turns out he wants pretty much the whole tree logged.

All avoidable by more detailed discussion at quotation stage.

As for the price thing, it is what it is.

The trees are gone for the agreed price.

Which seems on the high side to me, but I haven’t a clue about the situation.

I may have priced it higher. Who knows? I don’t price from pictures on the internet.

Sorry your first trip onto Arbtalk is to report a bad experience Woodowner, but as you will now know it’s a complicated industry, with some complicated characters.

BigJ I’m surprised at you, you’re not one of them and you should know better.

You wouldn’t price a felling contract from some low quality pictures would you? Your experience on the willows for mates rates isn’t comparable, and just makes everyone on here look like a robbing bastard.

Vesp would call you a robbing bastard for charging £400!

Finally Woodowner, why were the trees felled, just out of interest?
