I'm sorry, I phrased it like a question but it was more of a statement. You WERE saying that they weren't ripped off.

No, I was saying they were..  perhaps your a little confused by the drink..

Passed that place the other day and remembered that lunch by strange coincidence Mike.

Place was all shut up, I’m guessing they’ve moved on...in one way or another.

Shame, really nice people.

My Dad (in Scotland) asked me (in France) if €??? was a reasonable price to take down and remove x2 poplars at his partners mothers house (in Holland).  Having no idea (even though I scoped the trees out on Google StreetView) - I said tell granny to get as many quotes as she can be bothered to and rock on.

On a related note if anyone's interested in casual game of "price the job" let me know and I'll put up screen grab ?

Somewhat ironic that you defend your speculation with caveats and then point out when I've done exactly the same...

Hardly! :D

You claim there is an awful amount of speculation on this thread, then go on to add to the speculation. Caveats have nothing to do with what you initially whined about.

I'm confused by the triple negative...

You'll get it eventually, or maybe not.

Even if there were twice that amount of logs left for the op, it doesn’t change the fact that it was probably over double the cost it should have been.

always get more than one quote and get recommendations

Well if a double negative infers the positive then a triple surely implied the negative again? :D

It’s something I’ve never acclimatised to in 13 years.

A couple of sangers, cup of tea, back to work in 25 minutes, then home in time for Neighbours.

Company policy.

Blooming immigrants, coming over and refusing to assimilate. ?

I wont even ask what a triple negative is.. you do realize you're on a arborist forum right?.

and anyone with a bit of common sense could tell what I was saying..
