I hate it when.......

I seldom venture into supermarkets , but on occasion I get to the till with 3 or 4 things and am asked have I got , or want, vouchers, cards, cashback, tokens, loyalty, and other promotions, half of which they havnt even got in America yet, the last time I was asked by the tillgirl, as if in a trance, “do you want help packing”. My reaction to all these questions is to say absolutely nothing except thanks as I take my receipt and finally take a deep breath as I step out of the self opening doors to the real world again.

Two things -  when driving, idiots in the inside line just indicating to pull out in to your lane when it is obvious you are just behind them in the lane they are trying to pull out in to, don't they teach "Mirror, Signal" now!!!

Roundabouts - idiots in the slow lane who go round the roundabout cutting in to the middle of the roundabout and nearly take you out rather than sticking to the outside lane around the roundabout!

I tend to go to a till with a person at it.

If there were more people working behind the counter in a bank, they'd still punt their products but it wouldn't seem so full on.  The people behind the glass counter have been on commission for years.  You just notice it more when it's not happening all the time.

A bank that hasn't been closed down would be a nice thing. Not many left, and their hours are getting shorter :(

ps have never tried a £100 note in a self service till..... xD

Alright I’m in.

People who clog up the supermarket queues on a Saturday morning with a few items when they could be using the self scan 10 items or less jobby, because they’re too scared/curmudgeonly/much of a Luddite.

And to add, bemuses me when retired people use the supermarket on a weekend to do their weekly shop just because it’s habit. They have all week!

People with no manners.

It really boils my piss when people don't say please or thank you.
Absolutely. I have ranted about this before it drives me insane it seems that it's now the thing to be rude to people. My dad used to constantly say to me and my brother 'Manners cost nothing and courtesy is contagious' I have drilled manners into my children and it's often mentioned how polite they are.

I hate it when.... When you hold your hand out for your change but instead it's banged down on the counter?? Really?

There is a reason for that, on Saturday mornings a lot more of the fresh produce is brought out for the rush, so the savvy oldiwonks shop on Saturday.
