  2. Did you rate it as a grinder though Josh? Pretty sure that’s the one Ross White had, and thought it was mentally good, possibly too good for the size/weight. Like an animal 8” chipper that weighed 400kg.
  3. I know. A truly vintage year in all respects. Some might say. 🤔
  4. @Anno who's this then, from a few year back.
  5. I get you.
  6. Bolam summed that up so well in a thread a few months ago. Climbing rope deemed untrustworthy to support a 100kg man but somehow fine to swing 400kg pieces over a £20,000 conservatory.

    Jokes???

Researchers have discovered why women put on weight once married. A single woman, after a night out, returns home looks at what's in the fridge and goes to bed. A married woman, after a night out, looks at what's in the bed and goes to the fridge.

  10. That's just a fat Boris Johnson, now, that would be a way to clear the hospital beds,

  12. Echo cs2511wes is really light. All other saws may be a bit lighter than 550. But feel about the same. And if work is intermittent, than 550 is a treat for starting and restarting. Has decomp, purge bulb, auto tune, you name it ).
  13. RIP Patrick Murray. Aka Mickey Pearce in Only Fools.....68 lung cancer. Epic programme and one only a few things that kept out the pub in the 80's! Thanks chap.

  15. Don't they have a lemon law in most states of America?.
  16. I want to get out to German/Austria to find climbing work before cutting season ends. I have all kit an necessary tickets plus 10 years experience.. any suggestions or contacts for companies to approach would be much appreciated.. TIA
  17. They're pretty simple machines. Mine jammed up the other day when a fork went through it but the overrun clutch on the PTO shaft saved the day. The product is fiddly to burn but you can really fill a stove up and it goes for a long time. It gets choked up on brash but it's a decent way of reducing bulk if you don't have a chipper
  18. Had a great vat of curry for old folk and sister last night, good catch up and question old folk on things of the past but Mum's dementia mean she can be pretty rude about stuff from the past - "his father was a dirty old groper, always grabbing girls arses and he was a noise in the Weslean Chapel too!"....... Going to aTaunton for something to do and possibly another walk along Charmouth later. Found a huge seam of Copralites along the beach - 95 million year old Dino pooh! Be good at work and get ready for the storm! Art, Hitch, Oak.

  21. Tried a pair of these on in store felt pretty good. Can anyone vouch for their long term comfort, any good with spikes? Any good for hiking as well- I know they’re stiff and a bit heavy Cheers
  22. A nice bag of ArbSurplus rope ends, most appear to be around 5m. Pair of saw lanyards, decent quality, made in UK.
  23. Cheers for them answers. I hadn't thought about roadsise to be honest Mark, I might get away with that in spring when tree work's quiet. Thanks for the tip about Chainsaw Bars UK too, I get most of my milling kit that way but since Brexit I pay big import duties on it. He's got a load of Manpa stuff too I've seen which might be useful. I would probably be able to justify the expense if I knew I could sell some work off the back of it. Carving more would be a good start. Cheers again for your help, I probably will give you a shout Mark next time I'm over visiting.
