  2. Can you provide some better photos please? Close up of the leaves and bark etc. The shrub at the base could be contributing to the decline of the tree, but I doubt that much. It looks like a variagated Holly or Euonymus maybe. They're both tough things so you could try cutting it back hard to see if that helps the tree.

  4. Not smug Bud. I was just taken by the juxtaposition of the two understandings of the situation. You're missing the point again, by bragging about how much YOU earn. "This is how you got your arse handed to you on the other thread." - Which thread, when, how? I got a decent Wordle score of 3 yesterday!

  7. Now thats what im talking about, brilliant and many thanks
  8. I dunno, surely there has to be a lot of intel to be had sending the latest weapons into war. I think WW3, like a proper nuclear WW3 is not on the cards, a non nuclear WW3 is probably happening right now.
  9. No they didn’t give me a file so I bought 2 and a spare chain, the Hexa chain is on my husqvarna 61 with 20” bar
  10. Borough in this morning from the wood shed, since being miserably cold here I lit the fire. I put this Hawthorn stick on the dying embers of the fire when we can home late afternoon, the Sun then came out, and thrifty Scots-Irish that I am, I removed it from the fire after a couple of hours, it was barely touched or alight so I left it below the stove. Some time later, prompted by Senior Management, who noted it was "stouching" up the living room I took it outside, again just barely smouldering. I "assumed" it would go out in the cool of the night(after 20:00 ) And forgot about it for an hour or so. Wow! The bit of wind outside was sufficient to kindle it!
  11. Got to love auto correct and not proof reading
  12. What an utter turd he is. I genuinely think that he is doing everything he can to not be PM,
  13. The nptc cs38 is "access a tree using rope and harness" so not really relevant. From the irata website "IRATA International’s rope access system is a safe method of working at height where ropes and associated equipment are used to gain access to and from the work position, and to be supported there" Is there a risk of falling from height and being injured? If not, it isn't work at height, you are just using ropes for stability. Holding nptc tickets would give you assurance the people are competent to wear a harness, maybe helpful. It seems a bit of a rabbit hole to me, scrambling about on top of a conifer hedge isnt covered by nptc either but we all do it.
  14. I just bought a gun from Chris Forestry, seems ok, no frills. I figured they would be unlikely to sell complete rubbish, you never know what you get if you pick one on eBay.
  15. Sounds like a real contrast to recently when you quoted wearing shorts.

  18. I'd say both examples are males try the females in Google images (sorry on phone!)
  19. Why not take up rock climbing with a group or at the very least do a day or two with a tree company being shown how to do things. Whilst it's nice to learn, you're not going to be popular with the local fire station first time you do yourself a injury or get stuck up a tree.
