About 7 times I think I saw them - Hammersmith odeon back in the early 80s and the last time was Milton Keynes bowl supported by Jethro Tull, another of my favourites 👍

There was a time, when I lived a more "nomadic" lifestyle and lived in a Thames 15cwt van, traveled around to find very varied work, and lived on what I could trade, poach, or even find dead on the road, with a little imagination, or just plain hunger,,, a squirrel or two was a decent meal, perfectly edible, yes a little effort to prepare for not much meat, but better than no meal at all. soaked in brine, for a few hours before cooking improves most game, squirrel is no exception.

I don't dream of using tech stuff, nor do I use tools, machines, drive, sail, fish, hunt, etc etc I used statins for the first time 15 or so years ago and I had awful dreams and nightmares (and a few other side effects) until I changed them for the second time.

Hi - Update: 2 roles. 1. An experienced climber with an interest in passing skills onto others, and undertaking hi-end technical jobs when required. Ideally 1 day a week but would consider a couple of days a fortnight or a small block every month. Role would probably end up being 50% doing bigger stuff (we have other operatives to do this work as well) and 50% developing other climbers, whether alongside in tree or from ground (more likely). There maybe an opportunity for the right person who is looking to get into a training role in the future. Get in touch to discuss further as role will be designed around candidate to a degree. Rates negotiable. 2. Qualified Climber looking at developing into a crew leader role. Ideally would want someone to be capable of medium size crown reduction / capable of rigging medium sized tree (60ft). Passionate about Arboriculture and driven to improve. 5 days a week. email to contact: [email protected]

Tide in at lunch so afternoon stroll along Charmouth beach with the old folk. Think I got to take a couple of calls about work too! Exploring a couple of job opportunities. Vat of curry to be made later for the old folks freezer. Did a large lasagne last night and they both had seconds which is a good sign.this followed by a couple of beers at Perry Street Club while the traditional local skittles teams played. Enjoy the day safely. Sin, Cos, Whim.

Hi all thanks for all your appreciated replies. I have a Husqvarna 550 XP mk 2 great saw, was wondering if there is bit lighter saw to use to cut the crooked cordwood, as at 74 the mind is more willing than the body😉

Anyone managed to fit a new battery to a set of ProComs yet?
Treeman123 replied to Chris Sheppard's topic in General chat
Yes I did it. Little screws to come out but it is possible. Found the same battery on ebay delivered from China. I had a problem where one set wouldn't charge so I thought it was the battery but it wasn't in the end. Cant find the picture of the battery to save my life! -

Nice work Stephen, thirty years ago all the old boys would bleat on about how tracks and trees didn’t work, how things have changed.🤙 Bob

What makes the original such a classic is the brilliant script, so many quotable lines. Here’s a great scene, I love the way the negotiator goes too far with the “we’ll even throw in a Blaupunkt” line.
