Ahh yes. It can be used as a cleaning rag for all sorts of things too. Great little plant.

We bought our house this past fall . So we only saw leaves on the trees briefly. This is one the biggest oaks on the property and is just starting to bloom. I do have concerns of the things in the pictures below. We are located in Eastern Connecticut and oak wilt and Kretzschmaria deusta are prevalent. I'm just having a hard time telling why the tree looks the way it does. The canopy looked quite healthy last fall. The last image shows a hole that had grass in it that I cleared out.

Hedgerows are full of elm in much of England and Wales, and sadly they don’t grow very big, but probably plenty big enough for a few bow staves. But I have no idea which elm they are - probably mainly English elm.

Look at it as a relationship and see if you can get future loads of wood or do a bit of clearance on windblown etc. Just make sure both parties are happy at the end and the door is open for the future. -

I used to use Aspen but my dealer stopped getting it and sold me Husqvarna X power alkylate fuel . I don't know if its just my imagination but I would have said my saws run better on it . Certainly not worse . I buy the blue ( 4 stroke ) can and mix it at 50:1 with Red line racing 2T oil .

Picked up some 8-9"dia rounds of dry rotting ash yesterday (firewood that's too many years old); will drill many holes in them and put them around the place. They won't last long but perhaps a couple of years with a roof of offcut WRC board.

Usually just to the side of the boom, it’s just a wee valve lever. The Yanmar are under the dead man lever on the floor under a plastic blank though just to be awkward. Dan I pinky promise I never got out the cab for slab stacking and the broken 1 was already broken.
