Anyone got one of the new angular looking Skarper chippers? I've read all about how they started as a rebadge Haecksler 3 but they seems to have remodelled now the c90 is discontinued?
-
Yes I've often wondered about CHP. Are these things properly serviceable to an enthusiastic DIY-er? One of things I like about simpler burners like ecoangus is you can take the whole thing apart - turbulators, fans, firebricks, pump etc.

You mean he doesn't chew Alex's food!

Mini chipper not chipping/pulling well

Did you find out anymore - was the subsequent sharpening any better? Cheers -
It doesn't sound like he's a dog to waste time on chewing his food!

Reckon you'll need to ask Sailor that one.

I've suffered depression on and off since I left school in 1986 though never diagnosed until I was in my thirties. I do find a few days in the sun ☀️ transforms my mood. A short break, cheap package holiday is an effective alternative medicine 💊 I'll not take antidepressants again, not since 2004 at least. It's been particularly grim here in the North of France recently and it manifests itself physically like a crushing pressure or negative radiation surrounding my very being. Also sharing dark humour with strangers online helps.

Well done for talking about about it. The black dog is a bastard. Believe it or not, these things seems to help a bit: Treatment - Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) - NHS WWW.NHS.UK Read about the main treatments for seasonal affective disorder (SAD), including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), light therapy and antidepressants. 10 best SAD lamps to banish the winter blues, tried and tested WWW.INDEPENDENT.CO.UK Mood-boosting light therapy can help to brighten the dreariest time of year I'm not suggesting that SAD is the only cause for your malaise, but it's often a combination of things that kick things off. Stick with what your GP reckons. It can take a few weeks before anti-depressants kick in. Keep talking, and keep ahad!

Yes it's amazing how much wood even this little house gets through and no backboiler. I expect I get through 30kg of dry wood on a cold day. I would like a small version of this: First AllGen Biomass Installations in Germany and Sweden - Microgen WWW.MICROGEN-ENGINE.COM to supplement my solar power in the winter.

I've not been offered any for five years and became wary of stewing them in the slow cooker with an acidy marinade because of the lead. Do you get any with steel shot? Worry there would be breaking teeth.

Looks amazing. I burn way more than that already. I mostly store in lengths and then have a few days with a log processor each summer.
-
So what you're saying is... take a pheasant, boil the shit out of it, and in another pan make a decent curry sauce and have that instead? Add chicken if you want meat in it.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so low Les. As others have said, you have made the first step by realising what is going on, opening up about it, and seeking help. I had a fairly severe depression 25yrs ago when I was still a full time GP. I certainly had suicidal thoughts, and I remember one day imagining our three young children and my wife at my funeral. The thought of this stopped me doing anything. I found that medication and seeing a good counsellor helped no end. Over the years I have tried to come off the medication but have concluded that I need to stay on it permanently. If you find that you just can't concentrate/think straight don't think you are dementing etc - with significant depression your whole mental functioning slows down, sleep disturbance, irritability etc until you are beginning to pick up. I hope that with the right help you are soon feeling better. Best wishes, Charles

If I was doing that I’d ask why you didn’t respond to the genuine question “ are you still running an open fire “ on the log burner thread SP 😂🤔
-
I’ve replied SP but you should really be doing your taxpayer funded work lad not pissing about here. A wee man with such an interest in politics yet oblivious to little Beth Rigby 😂😂💩💩 Ok I believe you 🤥. Trolleys or Spreadsheets which job/lie is it today.
-
Obviously got time to sit and google away trying to score points feigning ignorance about Skys Number 1 political reporter. Simple fact is it’s easy to lie online from behind the veil of anonymity the internet offers.

They have had their 9:30 cup of tea from the trolley, next round I do will be at 9:45, so got loads of time. However you are detracting from:

It's his work from home Friday, he's probably still in his boxer shorts, leopard print dressing gown and bunny slippers.

Someone’s supposedly at “ work” I see time to post on the taxpayers ticket lad.

Guys, we a fcking idiots, she was on the Andrew Marr show last in 2019, how come that didn't register with our conscience in 2025? Obvious now who she is. Edit: And was a journalist with the newspapers before 2016 when she joined Sky... Google tells me so. But are you cross threading your upset at the world again JonsonD?
