  1. Past hour
  2. well I always thought the 353cc villiers was a single exhaust port, and the 250,s were twin port, but I searched and found this, The Villiers Engine. – Barnstormers NZ WWW.BARNSTORMERS.CO.NZ I apologize, every day's a school day.
  3. It’s not that bad Ruben, I think the 4x4s are about £1500 a year for any driver with a U.K. license. It’s probably double what it was but I also added in sdp as well,is £750 extra pa too expensive when it’s the difference between a nipper working or not ? Bob
  4. Today
  5. Sorry. Definitely a 350 as I had the original sales receipt and manual from 1953
  6. I'll be quite unhappily climbing it.
  7. I spoke to a big tree company working on the edge of London a couple of years ago, he ran some 3.5t trucks and 7.5t plus a 12t lorries, he employed old feller to drive younger one about in lorries as insurance was cheaper.. It is crazy as most arborist trucks go to site in morning and sit there, we're as builders run around all day in there's picking up stuff plus a trip to nearest cafe.
  8. Don’t think anyone is worried about climbing it.
  9. Oliver Coombs at timber auctions in york would be a good man to talk to as he would auction it off as a standing sale for you , so basicaly sold to a harvesting crew who would cut process and remove from site so you wouldnt need to do owt only watch and take a few photos and then take payment,,
  10. From the photos, I'd quite happily climb that, thorns dont bother me too much, done several smaller ones before.
  11. It adds a whacking chunk to it though. Mine used to be any age, then it was 21, then 25. I almost passed out when they suggested last renewal that it be ‘any driver over thirty’ How on earth will young people get jobs at this rate?
  12. Was going to say, my old fleet was 'any driver, any age plus sdp'. Cost a chunk as things go but was so much easier to not think who was going where and what in! Mark's comment about reading the signs is so true. My Land-rover was half the price of the tippers as they could go on an ag/forestry classification, but the AstraVan was right dear even though it was doing no real work,
  13. Yea thats it . I could not remember .
  14. Yep. Thanks, both. White.
  15. Ok, but Mark made a good suggestion re ID , so if you can see pink flowers its the nigra, white flowers pissardii
  16. I'd love to post the streetview but I respect my client's privacy.
  17. ok thanks for reply - I questioned ID because RHS says nigra is a more rounded form and pissardii upright
  18. Leaf colour doesn't look dark enough, to me anyway. History view on Google Maps might show it in flower.
  19. Hi Stubby, also known as a plumbers version of a crows foot spanner, very handy when nothing else gets in there.👍
  20. good question
  21. Perhaps the climate makes a difference. I have seen some whoppers up here, they become a mass of vertical epicormic growth.
  22. Par four here again Wordle 1,538 4/6* ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟨 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  23. Chandler timber go everywhere for timber based staffs but bloody helpful
  24. cordless angle grinder? As above, repairing fences manualyl is pretty soul destroying. Replacing the odd post is fine, but if its more than that (and it must be if the wire is rusting) its getting to the stage of full replacement.
  25. Look I'll admit its a bit weird. But why did it leave two saws dry as a done and hot within a short space of time. Replacing bars and saws is expensive and not something I want to experiment with. Im going to try gator oil next. Ive used petrol or acetone with a brass wire brush. Horrible job though.
