I just checked my 365 new and it is 3mm.

First you complained that these threads were all people slagging each other off and not about chainsaws and now this. Maybe just relish the fact that nobody's had a pop at anyone else or got the hump for a couple of hours.

Can you put up a photo?

Passepartout started following Rowan Ash Removal
-
Hello, I'm a newbie here and I'd be grateful for some advice / wisdom. I recently relocated to a new home which has a small back garden 5mx5m, which is dominated by a Rowan Ash, slap bang in the centre. It's higher than the house and the trunk girth is about 900mm. The house was built in 1985 and so I think the size of the trunk suggests the tree was planted post house build. From the national geological survey it seems the predominant geology in this area is boulder clay (Till). Its a conservation area and I have obtained permission to remove the tree and a quote for the removal. I'm inclined to think that the risk of heave following removal of the tree is very low. Should I be more concerned about potential consequence of removal, should it involve 3rd party advice being sought and is it usual to inform the building insurer before removing a tree? Any advice will be gratefully received thanks.

wtf is going on here, the threads are all about nothing to do with the title?

He ran our local boozer for a short period in the late 90’s as a relief manager. Spent most of it staggering about pissed! I did the old ‘Del Boy falling through the bar hatch’ bit at one point, which made him laugh. RIP Patrick.

We fit 3.5mm on that. Anything bigger and you cannot get enought winds on the pulley before the thicker cord overfills the pulley groove....you then run the risk of it also falling out the pulley. Anything thinner, such as 2.8mm, which for us is the next size down just means it won't last 5 minutes before it snaps....we generally fit that to the more light weight grass trimmers and hedge cutters 4mm we leave to fit some of the bigger clearing saws and the real old big chainsaws. 5mm is for generators

I do much the same but you need to be aware that if the cord is two thin it can spool on side by side rathan than on top of the previous layer and when you pull it to start it wedges the plastic pulley apart.
-
Just measured original cord at 4mm but was probably 4.5 when new before stretching.
-
Yes she has. I was watching an episode of KUA last night. Was very good, but every episode was the same. Had the writer developed the characters more and placed them in different situations, it could have been as good as Only Fools and Horses.

I see that Patricia Routledge has kicked the bouquet.

Yes Les, role in the Business Support bit of an Arb contractor. Partially on spanners and fleet care etc. Totally away from Sales etc. Good people who I've known for years and right looking forward to the changes!
-
Dunnow but I use the same cord in all my saws no matter how big or small . I just ask for starter cord and thats it .

Any feedback on the job front pete 🤞

kram started following 372xp starter cord size?

I discarded the snapped cord so cant measure it, anyone know what size I need? I am guessing it is 4.5mm or 5mm. Normal shops only list the part number but I'll be buying a roll of it.

Easily done… I’ve got one on my Vermeer it’s very useful. You can get a avant headstock made up easily enough and with the extra weight it would be decent I’d wager. The winch is 3.5t and doubled up on a block it’s a powerful tool! I primarily used it for one job winching off felled timber on an incline. I’d probably sell on… feel free to dm.

Morning all, Real gales last night here in Glasgow. Oak branch across the road torn out above a row of parked cars, but wind blew it beyond the cars onto some grassland. I daresay others were not so lucky.
