  1. Past hour
  2. This was discussed in 2010............
  3. Nope I’m afraid its not lad, talking of hills to die on here you are still chipping away trying to get something out of a post I put up a few days ago that said only “ mentally ill” 🤷‍♂️you created something in your head not me, and here you are at the bottom of the hill not wanting to give up. It’s like going back to the old Covid thread.

  6. Up late for no reason and then slept badly! No snow here but raining again. Light chores and fall asleep in the rugby! Enjoy your day.. Yoke, Owe, Oh no.
  7. The ZZ has a WLL of 140kg. Like you say the Reflex is 200kg Both WLL are in MRS configuration
  8. Popped into the sailing shop whilst at the coast. Picked up some krabs and some new climbing rope. 16mm three stand baby, we’re going back to the nineties! This is the proper soft stuff, not the plasticky cheap stuff I use for light rigging btw.
  9. Today
  10. Ok , assuming the revs on the display are constant and don't vary by more than 5 - 10 rpm , that's sufficient. When you first turn the ignition on and watch the display boot up , does it show 'QC160' before finally showing '0' ? It's worth taking the black palm switch apart and checking to see that you get continuity between the two wires when the switch is pressed ? Also worth removing the forward Herschmann plug (bottom one) from the feedroller control valve , remove the screw completely and hook out the centre of the plug to check the wire connections ?
  11. To my shame I bought a 4hp chipper some years ago for carrying around gardens. Mistake; it's awful, even with the infeed chute enlarged by angle grinder.

  13. Thanks for reply, I guess it early days, often these things aren't accepted at the comps for a while (at least here). Not that I expect it to be particularly popular for competition climbing, I feel like it's more of a 'jack of all trades' kind of device, but I love it for everyday work. After my previous post I actually stumbled upon that zigzag certification document. It's interesting that the reflex manual states to be used in conjunction with a class A descender. How does that work with the legal frameworks in the UK, and does the same apply to other devices like the zigzag? I remember looking into the ratings of other devices, the akimbo is 23kn MBS, but interestingly I think the reflex had a higher WLL than the others, I guess the 12kn MBS is all that is required for the Class C EN certification so that's where they stop? Like you say in a real world situation the rope is just going to slip. I'm not sure that the zigzag has a MBS printed on it?
  14. The days of Teddy Sheringham and Jermaine Defoe up top for Pompey are but a distant memory Stubs. At the coast now but heading back after brekky. More rain.
  15. Morning all. Not feeling bad this morning, decent kip and the aches from last week are in retreat. Shitty dreams though, I woke having taken a short cut in the valtra through a hotel but the one door big enough to get out of I couldn't because of a wedding in the room, bizarre. Chores day and a visit to the cafe for me. Have a good one folks.
  16. I think some of the stuff coming out of China now is quite impressive. They are clearly desperate to sell stuff, hence the tactic of shoving container loads into auction and taking whatever they are bid! It avoids import duties, and they do it both here and in the states. Lots of attachments coming through too. These generations of micro skid steers took much better quality than the Carter/Rippa micro diggers of a few years ago. Im actually seriously tempted.

  20. We are being played.
  21. My full time cutting boots were/are Andrews, I had Meindl's before that, they were a bit tight and a bit cold in winter work. No problems with them other than vibram soles wearing out. When I do venture up a tree I use Salewa Rapace boots and take care to avoid my feet with a saw.
  22. "Don’t get upset lad," really, when you bang on about how do you know what I mean/meant! Its a hill that you will die on. You just dont realise it yet.
  23. 😂😂😂 Don’t get upset lad, if you want to condone the actions of a lying Walt that’s your choice. Put that aside for a moment, have you ever considered why it is that he will not ever answer any question at all on anything that gives an indication of the character of the person not just the absolutely simple things you mentioned. Strange seeing as the same person has an opinion on everything. PS I know the coal he’s burning is imported as does he, it’s just a bit of light entertainment trying to get the blagger to admit it. I’ve said it before but will indeed say it again, it’s incredible how much slack having similar leftard tendencies can get you on here.
  24. Ah a different type of question is it 🤔😂. I watched the way Eggs was chased for info and the reaction by some to his apology so please spare me the lecture. Both of them are open books compared to the site blagger.
  25. We know, we all know. You bang on about it everyday. Its pathetic and tedious and its being going on for months if not years. Where he buys coal from or what he does for a living is your problem. That's a hill that you will die on.
  26. Yesterday
  27. Its a different type of question though. I wont ask again and I wont hound him to death. Ill put it down that he pulled an Eggs.
