  1. Very nice. Have you extended the chipper spout, and what does the crane lift at full extension like that?
  2. Removing flood debris from a bridge today, really enjoyed this job. Thought the lads were a bit sombre for a while though, just the odd comment, "grim job this" "we shouldn't have to do this" "we'll get counselling". All became clear when I got this from the boss saying the lads did a good job today, recovering my body from the river.

Was hoping someone else would try it! Did you get- What Para-Olympian won 6 gold medals at.....? A 1 B 2 C 3 D 6
  4. The death of one horse was mentioned quietly on TV news, before moving swiftly along to the important stuff like Fascinators and Kate Middleton knows a jockey.

It's good that I got British Citizenship by birth as I've taken 2 tests from your link and failed both. I was consistent at least! I'll be honest a lot of those questions make little sense to me, but good luck to you.
  6. Looks more like a Witches finger than a thorn
  7. We'll look forward to the "Oak too close to house, how dangerous is it?" thread.
  8. Ukrainian troops seem to be keeping their spirits up anyway
  9. I'm under the impression that ideally the aim is either "hot roof" or "cold roof". If the whole space is filled with insulation, with the the aim of displacing as much airspace as possible it's hot, but if there's any significant airspace left it's cold and needs to be ventilated. As has been said any trapped air will contain moisture.
  10. There has been Extinction Rebellion protests blocking tankers the last few days. Environmental protesters block oil terminals across UK | Environmental activism | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Activists climb on tankers and glue themselves to roads around...
  11. Heron's gotta eat too!
  12. Sounds painful, all the best with it, and the wedding.
  13. Thought you'd have been talking about Cab climate control systems or the best User Specific Seat Memory in tractors by now! Seriously though, gripples are a great invention.
  14. Was ambushed by a moscovy duck today (so I was told), large chap.
  15. That wouldn't be allowed to happen, taxpayer would bail them out first
  16. Hope the day goes well, if there's a lot sold you'll get credit for the excellent display.
  17. Pity all that stuff is covering up your workmanship, no-one will see your work properly!
  18. Ouch, that'll nip for a while. Agree with the sentiment, recently one of the guys at work was off for a few weeks after hurting his back lifting his shopping off the doorstep.
  19. Beautiful glasshouse, very Victorian. Is it original? Yes Sime, it is. It's quite a selling point for their Weddings and Functions apparently, but not cheap to look after...
  20. It's nice Gary. Unlike some of these big old places that get tatty through lack of maintenance, it's been in the same family a long time and it's well looked after. They have Vines in the glass house that they make their own wine with too.
  21. Done a couple of days hedgecutting at a local hotel. First day was bitterly cold with snow and rain but today was short sleeves all day. Great having the little crane to pick sheets from the back side, saved an awful lot of dragging. Lady owner came out to show her grandkids the tractor, "bring the team to the glass house, I'll have soup served at 1pm". Lovely!
  22. Try the chainsaw protective kilt, they're good in the heat. Lets the blower breeze in to all the sweaty nooks and crannies
  23. If you haven't done it already put your details here. https://arbtalk.co.uk/recycling
  24. I'd agree with Spring, seen similar around here. Lots of Ice Houses here, recently did work on top of one. There's a tunnel entrance with full size door on the other side.
