  1. I had a reputation for digging holes at one time. I remember how unimpressed my dad was when I spent a weekend with a mate digging a trench in the garden, then covering it with twigs and leaves. The school bully would never have survived it. I had to fill it back in, less fun.
  2. Deserve to be proud Les, well done Thomas.

  4. I'd never consider buying a car from a salesman wearing t-shirt and squint baseball cap in the first place. I mean honestly, what kind of a second rate businessman thinks looking like a youth at a disco is respectful to his customer. For christ sake, take it seriously and put on a suit because actually, I hold all the cards.

  8. The industry clearly needs another ticket. A City & Guilds Award in 'Awareness of Fuel Types for Plant and Hand Held Tools'. Sounds good. Nice little one day course including assessment.
  9. Morning all. Well the opportunity for a long lie was wasted. Less than an hour longer was not the lazy, restorative morning I'd hoped for! I remember a time when I could lie in at an international level but the ability has gone, left me, alas I've become that guy that wakes up at stupid o'clock for no good reason. No plans today but I expect something will happen. Have a good one folks.

  11. Morning all. Misty morning here. Slightly later start today which is nice, but heading shortly to auld reekie to knock a few more off the storm list. No alarm tomorrow though, that'll be nice. Have a good one folks.

  22. I thought last night it would be today, ended up reading back to check. (It's at times like this that the sad truth occurs to me, I'm nerd level arbtalk) So @CCTree it's tomorrow, how are you feeling now?
  23. It's tomorrow isn't it?
  24. I'd imagine it works by slightly loosening the tightness created by the manufacturing process, to aid the needle point finding the path of least resistance? To be honest, Rich's post reads like it comes from considerable experience, persuasive enough for me. * And to be even honester, Rich's first paragraph reads like a quote from 'serial killer diaries' so best watch the tone when replying!
