Was more or less told this by some openreach guys working near us a couple of weeks ago. 2 Sycamore dismantle with line through them, asked if possible to disconnect for us and the answer was what Will said.

I still think the slots available, timings etc are not his responsibility. He was dealing with the reason for him actually being there.

I agree Andy, it would be ridiculous if he'd done that. But I don't believe he has any responsibility for human lives, that responsibility lies firmly with the Government in my eyes.

Good egg. No problem with him being direct with some twat from government. Considering how the government treat people anyway he's not really out of order, he just said he'd destroy them on social media after all!

Think I'd rather try replacing the spring before using steps! It's not a big problem really, just becoming annoying having to reset the angle so often.

If I understand your post correctly, it makes me wonder if you hit metal. It was cutting well from new, and after the first sharpen. When you noticed it struggling you found bar damage which you sorted but didn't sharpen chain again and got no improvement in performance. It could be that you've cut a foreign object.

I have a Stihl HL 94C hedgecutter that seems to adjust the angle of the head itself when I'm cutting the top of a hedge. There is no apparent wear on the pin, or in the holes the pin seats into and the spring handle appears to be in the correct position every time it returns. I suspect it's the handle catching on a stiff branch that disengages the pin allowing the head to adjust itself but wondered if I may need to replace a part. Has anyone else had this issue?
