See if you can find your chain here.. https://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/chain-info.pdf sq grind is like the pic I posted, but you can still file it with round file, it ends up less aggressive cutting , but still faster than semi chisel , the round filing is easy and quicker to maintain..than square filing.

Funny you say that, I spoke to a friend I had not seen in ages... he said he had two cube of ballast put on his twin axle trailer, goes home and it rains that night anyhow has to go back into yard in the morn as he’d forgot some stuff. Anyhow still a bit sleepy, goes into builders yard as if he did not have a trailer on over the speed bumps and loses the rear axle of the trailer. So has to get the ballast unloaded that he got the day before. thats how it was told to me,, and I was shown a pic, wish I’d got him to send it on, it was so funny..

Im not the overload plod inforcer, but I thought it was ment to be self regulated. Ie if cops pull you and find your over you legal wieght they do the place that overloaded you as well. I guess two fines and not much more work for the proceeds. so the loading place should not knowingly overload you.. unless it’s your mate loading...? I really don’t mind who does what to there vehicle, after all vehicles are designed to take more wieght than the max plated weights. ?

Looks easy...said the blind man. Find a suitable anchor point (even if it is on the other side with a 9x3 through a window on the other side.. rope goes up over roof scaffolding board on ledge to spread the load and somthing to stop friction on the rope... across the roof.. same as on the other side (scaffold boards and some frictionsaverover the rope) drop rope to ground and SRT up.. cut tree, your choice of lowering technique or free fall. Then descend back down.. and maybe look cool for a pic or two..?? Edit.. I guess there’s no window on the other side. So I guess it a crane job or heli

You could ask the same about a lot of things that we have adopted from the eu over the yrs. but like most things it not gonna get changed because we not in the same club.. there will I’ll still be legislated stuff coming into force while we’re on our way out..

But isn’t that all lumped together in one statement , there’s a difference between over wieght and obesity. But really.....have you seen how it’s gauged if your over weight. You could be a bit of a bodybuilder and over wieght, and very little fat on you. i just enjoy going into town on the bus, and looking, makes me feel slim and fit.?

I dunno, I thought this yr was a goodun for apples, but yes just cut with a nice sharp saw (a bit like a pruning cut) and the tree will be happy.? as for the apples on the old branch, I’d class it as a late June drop.. the other apples will thank you by being bigger..? -

I prolly would not store/stack them inside the house, but once it’s brought in and chucked into the wood burner, it will have gone up the chimney in a puff of smoke....
