  1. I read this thread, and think you need to pressure and vac test first.... then see if you find a leak, (maybe a crank seal) That could be the real reason why it semi seized. Unless neat gas has been used. Have you let or know if anyone else used it..? if you just get the bits you think you need then reassemble it only to find you have to dismantle it again. my best advise is, unless you are good at fixing things and can bodge up a p&v test. It would be better to ask spud what it may cost to fix.. it would save you a lot of time. btw it’s a good saw to port, so YouTube it to see what they can be made to do. edit, if you took it to a dealer, they’d say bin it and buy a new saw.
  2. Idle to high ?, stretched or a Broken clutch spring/s ? Or a fracture on the clutch ? Even the wire bodge may just have something to do with it..?
  3. ???
  4. Yah, when you re assemble it a pressure & vac test is needed. And remember to rotate crank to see if it holds the p&v.... then on to the next part of a rebuild, get it to run and tick over, then rev smoothly up to max revs.... also that means a play with the carb. Oh those carbs can be finicky things to tune...??
  5. I bet it will be, fool me once, and next time, stop and have a chat, smile,,,and say is it the long way home. Looks like your over loaded ??
  6. Pics help, they answer many questions. sounds like the pto side (clutch) seal was leaky.. thus a bit of a lean seize going on /happening. I wonder if there was some detonation happening as well (the pitting at the top of the cylinder). have you looked on eBay (machineryparts).. or even a reseller from the uk.. there are a few about. It seems like they put on a few quid and you can get them quicker. i wonder if the carb will need to be retuned, it may have been tuned to cope with the leaking seal/s i will send the service manual, so you have it for reference
  7. Just put a flat blade screwdriver (marked in red) between the tabs ( marked with yellow arrows) the handle lifts off.
  8. Check your inbox. The 211 ipl should help you. If you need the Service manual I have it, just ask i think you will find it the plastic tabs on the underside of the rear handle, which enables you to take the top part of the handle off
  9. Is this correct info.. ? http://www.uktow.com/legal.asp
  10. It’s too busy as a cock roost to fit any bats in ?
  11. Are these volumes in bags just loosely chucked in, and did you empty each bag and stack it neatly in to piles to measure just asking for a friend that buys bags of logs and never stacks just used from the bag..
  12. Well my some of mates from long ago knew her very well, well I have been told. A bit like a porn star I guess. ??
  13. Edit : they have other vids about upgrading locks on transits. So I doubt it’s just the obde, but guess the inmoboliser is deactivated via the obde
  14. Ahh, just back from the pub to find a new vid of more good work from a good treeguy, there’s nothing bad about your work. Carryon reg.
  15. a vid is worth 1k of questions ?
  16. I was reading through this thread and while looking at your broken mill I thought it is a bit odd that you have had 3 break and I haven’t seen anyone else say they had a broken mill. So I looked a bit closer at your mill pics This is Just an observation, Could it be your over tightening some of your nuts and bolts ?. Some nuts and bolts looks to be done up unevenly. Which I think would put more stresses on your mill. Maybe it slipped/moved, then broke ? i marked up your pics so you can see what I’m pointing to Wedge Banger. ??
  17. I'd say the same as mark skyland, you’ve got different bar studs, looks like the rear one has been replaced. Are the outside diameters the same?. If not then your get leaverage on your chain tensioner If also if your cover don’t fit because of different bar studs this will put a lot of undue pressure on your chain tensioner. Edit: another possible cause is the rear bar stud has been put in backwards (ie the wrong end in the case ). The front has a tapering, which sits in the sprocket cover. If the rear is the wrong way it will sit higher and will not seat into the sprocket cover correctly. take a closer pic so we can see. ?
