  1. It's all about keeping a chain cuttin like you just got it outta the box. then when peeps see it cut and then the chain. they go, “WOW” how you do make it cut so good. We reply,, us guys know how to file a chain?? anyhow even stihl say about hard and soft wood and different depth gauge heights its really just knowing how a chain works, and making it work good for the wood your cutting,
  2. I knew I had it somewhere, as always you have find it buried in a pile of PDF’s so thats the other reason I told you about .? I’ve email you the file RH, as I’m too silly at adding files from iBooks ?
  3. Here's somthing else from a Carlton manual I have. just chucking it out, as we’re talking dropping file sizes, what about depth gauges.
  4. Well it’s very easy fix, that is to take the oil pump out and put a new one in. And yes it’s a clutch off job.. But an oem oiler is not cheap, there are other ways, like secondhand or cheapy-China ?. but you could say if someone has played with it in the past, or you haven’t had the saw for long, as they only go round and round if the stop tab has broken off or someone thought it would make it oil more. i had an 600 oiler that was using about a 1/4 of a tank of oil to a tank of fuel with a 36” bar and turned up to the max. I fiddled with it, then gave up and put a vachina oiler in it
  5. Apart from getting the bar pinched, where’s the wedges. And a slack rope, that was waiting to happen... The reason for cutting up that high, and leaving a stump the same height as the wall next to it. Is because does not become a trip hazard, it gets sorted at a later date, like when replanting or resurfacing that area. Brighton is full of this when they take elm down..and the guy that chopped them down told this,?
  6. I bet if you were to compare notes, with R?H there would be common ground somewhere. ?..and I remember being a slave stacker for a feller who was only keen on felling as many trees in a day,. But I will say if he took a little more time he’d made less mistakes and made just as much.. but it that’s my take on it, everyone’s mileage varies ???
  7. I can give you my answer to your problem.....cos I had the same problem, I thought I’d been band by my IP address, as I could not log on, not even access the page... so I went to a vpn site, bingo I could see the site, but why could I log in “as I thought I’d been banded....? so I rebooted me router while unplugged then plugged it in and had to reboot again. As I could not see foook all of any web page. Then it all worked again,,, including Arbtalk ???
  8. Is this a knocking a new member thread, it seems a bit ghey, mines bigger and betterer, ahh well I,ll play with my Thai bride, is she better than yours ?????????
  9. Nah, it’s a dogging site. And dribbles”un”stuff
  10. Just cos it’s cheap, don’t mean it’s a pos a yr down the road. It just needs some one who knows. How to fix it, even if it is a pos. but I will say it’s mostly a bit of everything, inc the user leavin fuel in, an stuffs. Manafacture says service time, and that is why buying a parts saw teaches you how it all fits together, or not fits that well... so you know how to fix it. carbs are almost everyone’s nightmare. btw I could say the same about any tool and user,,,, workman blames his tools.. best of luck,?
  11. There’s plenty of instant gasket type stuffs , in the auto factors , rtv (room temp vulcanising) hylomar blue etc,. It works if klean, like others have said , just a case of how you want to try, but my tip is don’t rush. ?
  12. Nah, I think the elbow thing, had been exacerbated by my bedroom activities?
  13. When mine was bad, tennis elbow/cubical tunnel syndrome thing, as I keep bees and they like to sting me. I thought....well it’s painfull when they do sting and then it’s tender but not that painful and a bit swollen and numb at the same time. A bit like when I sprained my ankle then got stung there a few days later, ? So I got my girlies to sting me, that was the hardest bit, to tell/show them here....sting me here....yes it hurt and yes it numbed it for two days. It worked for me, till winter came, and the bees were inside. No more bees ? anyhow, I don’t know why it came , (tennis thing), but it took two years (summers) of bee stings every few days, now it’s better..but I don’t konw if it really helped long term, but short term it work. I'm guessing it was a combination... Cheers,,, let us know how you get on...??
  14. Piston stops (metallic type) have been known to stress pistons to cracking, starter cord (enough and with the odd few knots ) in the hole when the piston is in the way up and passed the exhaust has worked for many. If it compresses and turns over you need a bit more ?
  15. Wonky

    Jewellery

Umm, where does one end up with that in 6months or a yr... I’m guessing it’s not the same at it was. btw. I like the nail and stuff in the background. For authentic reasons.. ?
  16. I,d say both, Jesus"…and Amen, I bet he's glad he only filled his pants. ?. ? ?
  17. I hear A solution was found, ??
  18. What experience is, needed and the age limit, cheers
  19. I like the fact he denies both charges and is fined Btw what a money making con, £30 victim surcharge, I bet the birds will never see that, ??
  20. well I passed, I don’t know how, as it was not one of my better climbs. But now I guess it’s time to go and play in the real world ?
  21. I found the tests the most difficult, It made my head go dizzy. But I,m not a person that likes tests. i trusted the equipment, as I’ve done paragliding before, there was only 7 or 8 knots to learn. I found that keep doing the same knot x20 worked, then the next day doing it the climbing was challenging, at times having to hang up side down with a leg up in the right direction, so I could pull myself up and get the leg over the branch. And that was without c class trousers and the muscles aching thing, that needed lots of beer to sooth them? so now this week it will be climbing with c class trousers, some crown lifting on some oaks from what I understand. heres a pic up the oak tree, and also some trees were more difficult.
  22. 52 ? I had and loads of things going on for ages, i thought the time was right. Yes Chiansaw in a tree Tuesday till Friday and Tuesday following wk and assessment Wednesday. i can say it’s not nice wearing c class ppe in this heat, but at least the trees are not wet ?
  23. Well ,how strange, or maybe not so strange, I passed mine on Friday at Plumpton btw, 1966
  24. All I can add to this things are changing, we have signs that say no parking on verg or pavement, or a CEO c#nt enforcement orafiser can give you a ticket if there are yellow lines on the road and you’ve parked wholly on the pavement, and also like now for speeding you can get fined an amount of a wks salary. happy days?
