  1. Ratman has no codes / restrictions i have codes/restrictions C1+E 107 which means 8.25t BE no code, so limited to vehicle I’m driving.
  2. Who were you replying to? It don’t help anyone just saying I looked at wrong pic and no quote !
  3. I'm not really sure what your asking me, not that I was really asking when I posted a pic of my licence. There me is no restriction code, so I guess it’s the limit of the b class vehicle I’m driving at the time ?..?
  4. And the C1+E will be 12t edit: from 17/8/07
  5. Your licence says it all. this is mine
  6. I think this thread is really dangerous, and that’s because if and when you get stopped by plod or vossy.... and you say I’m legal to drive and tow this cos a guy on the internet said I could.. mr vossy or plod will just hand a ticket out if you in the wrong. my answer is, understand the rules and see where you fit within the rules btw,as odd as it may sound. I was told just because you have an hgv licence doesn’t mean you can drive a car with a trailer, but that was a while ago and I never bothered to look into it because I do not have a hgv licence. Also things like rules change from time to time.. but the really way is to look on your licence see what groups you have then look on the gov's web page for example I have C1+E, if I was not careful I could think I could go up to 12t but I have code after it “107” What this means is limited to 8.25t all I’m saying is understanding the rules is the best. as it will be your pocket that pays and licence that’s endorsed, not the guys on the internet. ?
  7. What did the guy loose under the tree at the end... awsome vid as usual Reg ?

    Tachometer

Yeh you got the wrong one...... I know that you think well that’s no help. But I had the same prob. Except, I brought off AliExpress and got onto the seller they wanted a pic of the box, I was still none the wiser. They got another sent from the factory. but this is where it gets interesting, the new one that was sent was in a different colour box, and this did the same thing. it turned out the original one I brought was/should have been the correct one. But they must have put the wrong one in the box. The new one that was sent was the wrong one. And now I got the whole picture. one type is to only rev to 5k but goes blank at about 7k and resets. The other is the one I wanted (which I first brought) should rev to 15 or 20k so after a faf I ended up buying a different type that needed a battery, but the battery cost just as much as the tach i hope this helps. If you need more info I would need to look up what/where/when I brought it

  18. The only thing I can add to this thread is my missy loves the 12” just as much as the 18” I think the best is the 12” but she hates the batteries running out. ?????

  20. Cool vid, whats the make of you automatic chain sharpener Cheers
  21. Looking at your saw in the mill, it’s blued/lost paint on the bottom. 1. have you been pushing to hard and heated your bar/ not enough oil/blunt chain. Etc. 2. Have you turned your bar and does it still do the same. It looks like you don’t have the bluing/lost paint on the top. 3. Are you running the correct dl gauge for the bar (ie 1.3 in a 1.3 and not a 1.6). And also while we’re here do you have the correct sprocket for the chain, (someone on here was using a std 3/8 sprocket with a 3\8 lopro chain, which seemed to have resulted in chain snapping) Btw. Ive found that cleaning the bar rails then simply a few marks across the rails all the way up with a sharpie pen, then filing the bar with a guide bar dressing file in that fancy holder. Soon Showed up the unevenness. It soon cut straight afterwards. you may think it’s a bit ocd, but if your trying to workout where your going wrong. It just eliminated every little error. cheers I hope this helps
  22. Ahh after a lotta beer last night, i must have thought I was in the ingrained thread. But this morn they do look sweet as.?
  23. All I see is Piglet 4 skins ?????????
  24. As with private drives, I’d ask how big it was (the log/tree/branch), maybe go and look at it, and say it is just a branch. And remember he wanted a price for tidying up before. I'd lump the job price all together. Cos if you do this bit free, the rest may have to be cheap. But it it does really depend on what you will get out of it in the end,and also as said before if it’s stopping you do anything else
  25. My advise would be to really clean the whole area, then look to see from where it is really coming from, say after an evening or a day of sitting around. Maybe even a few days more then on to a week. it could be leaking from the case gasket, mine is doing this but only very slightly after some time of sitting around. I don’t leave that much oil in it as I find more seems to leak out of the pump/chain oiler area, as it warms and cools. But all saws seem to do this. if it is coming from the same as mine then I think there’s two options, either tighten the case bolts up (all of them and I would check what they are with a torque wrench ) or split the case and fit a new gasket etc. I’d go for the former first. but having said this it’s hopefully it’s from some easily fixed place.
