  1. Fiddes Wax is a good finish Steve,i did a big old farmhouse table with it years ago and it polished up lovely
  2. I always use Gorilla wood glue,good stuff
  3. Just drill them and pop a few dowels in and some wood glue presume you got a drill Steve?
  4. My daughter in law to be is a farrier and makes some nice stuff out of horse shoes(wine racks,boot racks,xmas trees etc),she made a single table leg with feet on it and a round table top which was pretty good

  18. Get them a fair bit with hedgelaying,sometimes its better to make a cut(with pocket knife)to get it out,cos the cut will heal quicker than leaving the thorn in and waiting

  21. Had a sort out last weekend and came across the old 038 that we bought in i think 1984,still going strong,got it from the local Mid Shires Farmers,none of them shops left now

  23. Done this 15mtrs yesterday morning and did it with just the little Dolmar battery saw to see how it lasted,changed batteries at 11 and got through until finished at lunchtime,so not bad i reckon
  24. Exactly what you say,there ideal as an additional saw for hedging which is what my Dolmar is for.It,s very handy to have on the ground by you for a quick cut here and there but i wouldn,t go hedging without a petrol saw
