  1. 550xp is a great for saw for hedging,thats all i.ve used since 2013 until last year when i bought my Makita 4300,which is also brilliant

  4. I got the Dolmar 36v top handle and it,s a great little saw, as said above you have to know there capability and use it within that.Batteries last quite well in mine as its 36v and cutting speed is very good.

  6. I think 5thelement gave you some sound advice and you seem to have taken the hump.There is no "lark" when it comes to making cuts with a chainsaw,learn to do it properly or not at all and one of the best ways to learn is with someone who has experience as 5thelement told you
  7. Just noticed there is going to be some timber harvesting on countryfile tonight,might be worth a look if anyone is interested

  12. It is cheap i, bought 5 of those and 5 H25, all 15" for just over £100
  13. I,ve been using SP33G on my Makita 4300 for a while now and find em very good,local agri store been selling them at just over £11.Cut well out of the box and keeps a good edge.

  22. I know what you mean Doug,i,ts not very nice to see the damage is it,i feel lucky compared to some,our power went off first thing this morning and came back on at 7 tonight and you think thats bad enough

  24. I,ve also been using the Husky h25 chains recentley,local agri store selling them for just over £10 and been pretty good to be honest
