  7. Might be worth asking at your local dealers if they have a second hand one that,s any good
  8. You mention they work fine but were too slow cutting, from your other post about bar lengths on your saw i would say your slow cutting is most likely caused by running too long of a bar on your small saw!
  9. Few flakes of snow just started falling here
  10. Yep,see the similarities, the Jap rider i think was Katayama and the bike got the nickname Never Ready(NR500)
  11. Chainsaws are dangerous enough without trying to refabricate bars to fit that shouldn,t be on that size saw anyway, but crack on go "outside the box" as you say, don,t think you will get anyone here to agree with what your doing
  12. Personally, i think what your trying to do is a daft idea, theres a reason they dont make a bar any bigger for your saw,it,s not meant to run one that big,as i said before 18" is plenty enough for a 455,i think your playing with fire on this one,as adw says things could go horribly wrong here, leave well alone is my advice
  13. I think your way over the top with a 24" bar on that saw as it is,18" is the max for that size saw,but as said 15" is ideal and you can still cut fairly big stuff at that.your trying to make a saw do what it,s not designed for,if it was meant to have a bar that big you,d be able to get one off the shelf, not start modifying stuff to fit.As Stubby says should be in the joke thread this one😂
