  11. Just to stir the waters a little more. I pay subby labourers £10 an hour. Brush dragging, logs etc. Mostly they are fecking useless. It's too hot, cold, raining, early, late, dusty, dirty, muddy, etc etc. I used to work for £30 a day labouring!!!! Quite honestly I can't find decent staff. They all think labouring is a skill worth £20+ . ??????!!!!!!! **** Anyone want a job? [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  16. Ms181 from frjones £200 Or you can get a husky for about £120 new. The first damage will be your ears. Get a decent helmet with visor and ear defenders. Next is the feet, get steel toe capped chainsaw wellies. Then chainsaw trousers. You won't need c.s. Gloves unless you use a one handed saw. Wind blown trees are some of the most dangerous you will encounter. Tension and compression in wood is an art form. There's the theory, then there's reality, with rot, trees laying on trees etc. Reading a tree's bark....etc. If you've ever seen the force with which a wind blown stump jumps back in the ground. I'd like to see you post your successes in the future. Stay safe mate and good luck. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  20. Bending 5" dry oak? Really? With what? Or was it really long? [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. I know what you mean rob. I used to use a 056super and a051. Both ran better than my new 661. I must have ran at least 10+ tanks before it bedded in. Now it's my general saw. Not amazing torque at low revs, but at at high revs with a decent chain it's unstoppable. 36" bar buried in oak no problems. And compared to my 056,051,075,880 it's really light. Not sure how long it'll last though. [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  24. My 661 was a bit weak until 10-15 tanks. Now pulls like a fast train. Never tried a 395 but I can out cut my 880 in 30" oak. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
