Gosh, well you're probably right. Science is only a belief system like religion yeah? [emoji12][emoji106][emoji90][emoji90][emoji90][emoji90][emoji90] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  8. 2500 years ago, Plato wrote that: wether you live in a tyranny, a dictatorship, or a liberal democracy, all countries are run by the ruling classes for the ruling classes. [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  10. In Brighton and hove, a lot of the streets were wood block soaked in some sort of tar/bitumen. A year or so back the water board were digging up the road nearby. Under 6-8 inches of tarmac/agg the blocks were all still there. I didn't measure them but appeared about 8"x8"x10" And very black. Must be at least pre war or earlier. Dalton those pics are inspiring. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Always an education on here.[emoji3][emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. My goats used to love ivy and bramble leaves above all else. They would do the same, stand on two legs and eat everything they could reach. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. My thoughts: If this was a thread for professionals about trees, I'd leave. But it's not. We live in a country where our ancestors have fought and died in the millions, so we can live without fear of oppression, for freedom of speech and expression. I don't agree with several opinions on here. Some I find incredible to believe. But they are only opinions. We are all adults and should have the emotional maturity to accept and tolerate others. Even matelot! [emoji106] Incitement to murder is different. It's illegal. Nothing on this thread is extreme. I find this debate very interesting and informative. My gratitude to all who have posted. 15. A way round using a vertical mill if you have an Alaskan, and are milling logs under 20". Start with a top cut, then drop the depth to the width of your final plank size: 12" log, cut off 2" top cut, lower depths 8". Bottom cuts off lower 2" Turn 90 degrees is an 8" Wide cant. Put the ladder back on, take off just the very top Set depths to desired thickness and off you go. Square edged planks. Remember kerf thickness etc. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Trees and leaves have been around for millions of years. Grasses are comparatively modern species. That's why most "grazing" animals will eat leaves when given opportunity. Goats can get ill if they eat too many tannin laden leaves though. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. A chainsaw pub, sounds a bit dangerous. [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  21. Anyone ever read 2000AD? Judge death quote: " only the living commit crimes. Living is a crime!" Great logic? Now look back over previous comments. Sadly for most people logic and rational are merely words. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. Cut 2-2.5 inch slabs. Cracks less than 1 inch. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Nice cherry! But it's the blue saw I'm interested in, what is it? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Ok. Here's a curve ball. The British intelligence service knew about the Omaha bomb. They were warned it was there. Our military let the civilians die (100+) just to use the incident as leverage in negotiations. Read your history. Last week or so, German military officers Arrested while planning a "Muslim attack", Dress up as a Muslim, let off bombs. Then blame other muslims. Check the BBC. So all I can say is stop being so naive children. The world works on levels most people would never fathom. Read history. Read history. Read history. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
