  1. What...??? The cat survived!?
  2. We'll sell un-processed wood to people, but even after 'educating' them that even after a decent discount, do they really want to put themselves through some serious axe swinging for that little bit of discount??
  3. 'North East' Where billy?? Suggested a kindler to the boss but he thinks it could be easier bulk buying them in, in the future, rather than continuing doing it the 'pallet' way....
  4. No offence to anyone, but after watching both machines, the Kindlet machine produces a 'neater' bag of kindling for stacking / palletising / shipping....
  5. We were supposed to get high winds yesterday and today too... Had NOWT - so far.....
  6. That photo's NOT from today or yesterday rovers90.... Cloudy with rain here today....
  7. What about the oil feed for the chain lub etc??
  8. Bought from where?? Maybe they need to check their whole stock as it could be a faulty batch, and so the next pair could be the same... (Been there - done that). Screwfix of all places...

    Battery

Or in my boss' case, have the reversing camera wired to a permanent live - not an ignition live! The camera monitor only comes on when you go into reverse, but it's always powered as the wee LED in the lower corner of the monitor is always on....
  10. Chainmail V's a fast moving part??? No - Just NO!!!

    Battery

Batteries aren't what they used to be I've been told... Skimping on the lead for the plates etc. You got an earth leak somewhere BTW?? Either that, or this first proper cold snap has finally goosed it....??
  12. How about looking into doing it for the National Grid / pylon people?? Usually Amey round here do ours....
  13. Looking at them pictures, the IBT is better turned than burned..
  14. For £235, they bloody should be!!!
  15. Isn't this eBay all over when someone doesn't anywhere near an asking price?? And I would go down the dispute route too even if it's just for a £5. How many people haven't for maybe more £££? Where's that money hiding and maybe gaining interest....???
  16. Wonder if any gun makers would be interested?? To make a gun stock maybe??
  17. Lets all take a picture of a random tree, list it on eBay, and then...........
  18. That's what I want... Cold - DRY air! That seems to strip the moisture out of our log piles. But it's certainly got it's work cut out, the amount of moisture the wood's sucked back in is saddening...
  19. At over 2300 views on eBay, I'm not surprised he got some funny replies....
  20. How do you process at the moment? We started with this Log Splitter 2016 KTM Machinery 10 Ton Hydraulic Log splitter 12 Months Warranty | eBay and only a chainsaw. If you have access to a tractor, would this be a better option?
  21. Mendiplogs...... Work place is a farm in Blyth, Northumberland. And I live facing the new hospital in Cramlington.
  22. Try any of the 'bigger' plant hire companies - I worked for a one man band one, then moved to a national one. The national one had thousands of them, and would sell you them. Edit, it was Nixon Hire I worked for, and we used 100's at places like the Hoppings fair on the town moor.
  23. Got some serious flooding on our land today. A culvert under the railway can't cope and has backed up as far as the eye can see. (How do you post photos, as I have a few that may help explaining). Had to dig out chest waders so I could go and clear another drain grate. That was at work..... At home, field opposite is under water, never been like that since 'Thunder Thursday' a few years ago. And there looks like no let up for the rain for another 48hrs here...
  24. Split to check before it goes out. And all other woods have burnt great on the stove, good draw etc. Wonder if I've just picked some wetter bits off our pile..?
